New player, or new contract.
I'm thinking Dan Neil.
Anyone heard anything further regarding potential new investment? Seen a similar question asked elsewhere and it got me curious with stories suggesting people were preparing to come on board if we were promoted
Cheers mate, it’s thankfully of no concern whether it does or doesn’t happen. It’s certainly an interesting one, though. The Dreyfus family are far from daft. I’d assume they’ll have a roadmap all planned out on that front.I've heard nothing recently but fully expecting new investment, not a takeover …
… it’s not vital in my opinion, not even a problem if it doesn’t happen.
What it would mean is that KLD’s risk would be halved without giving up control. Ironically we’re in a similar situation to that of RLB when he sat back once the playoffs were confirmed. We’re a PL club with no debt, £15m incoming from SC sales, the SOL in good nick, £100k from away fans every game, etc etc etc.
KLD has a club that’s worth four times what he paid and did it without it costing a penny …
… inward investment would mean he can be bolder in his decisions, something I’ve always believed was his intention all along.
He’s a very clever lad and I’ve hope we never see the idiot ‘Pocket money from his mam’ cracks ever again.

Unlike Short, KLD seems as though he may be able to build a lasting legacy as opposed to something that needs ripping up and starting again. I’m sure he’d leave us in good hands once the time came.Exactly, they're far from indecisive but equally as far from rash …
… I’m sure KLD has his exit strategy pencilled in but he’s young so in no rush.
I think he’d be prepared to hand a relegation and another promotion if that’s what it takes. As a wild guess I think he’d leave us in the hands of the investors he already has lined up. He wouldn’t ‘do a Short’ and simply leave us in the hands of incompetents.
I'd quite like him to buy OM, just for his dad, and them to become a feeder club to us.Unlike Short, KLD seems as though he may be able to build a lasting legacy as opposed to something that needs ripping up and starting again. I’m sure he’d leave us in good hands once the time came.

Simon Jordan can't discuss us without bringing it up..." it's his Dad's money". ****ing cringing to hear time after time, especially when many other clubs are financed from money emanating from people other than the chairman.

It's only envy on his part anyway, because he lost a substantial amount of his own money at Palace. Almost every club in the league has been bought by people using other people's money....whether it be the State,Hedge Funds,Private Equity or wherever the source. It’s ridiculous and lazy to say that especially when the club is specifically being run in a sustainable manner …
… KLD isn’t using his own money at all.
There are clubs with big debts that are never mentioned.
Ipswich are owned by a variety of ‘businessmen’ who make their money from pension funds but it was ‘a fairytale’ when they went up. Ed Sheeran was allowed to buy 1% so the supporters can pretend they’re locally owned![]()
Did you not have some news to share a few weeks back @Smug in Boots. Seem to remember you hinting at somethingI've heard nothing recently but fully expecting new investment, not a takeover …
