Oh ****....By coincidence our most prominent enemies were always the Kerrs who gained the upper hand tbf.
We are the Scotts and this is us ...https://www.bowhillhouse.co.uk/bowhill-house/history/clan-scott/
We go, every year, to one of the 'Ridings' usually at Howick.
This will give you an idea ...
... I don't have my own stuff, in France, but they're all similar and crazy.
If you go you'll feel a part of it all, I don't know how but you will.

I'm gonna have to look into this, never know, i might be related to The Little General....
On a side note, there is a butchers in Howick who make a Haggis Lasagne...its bloody lush.
I went to school with a Gary Carr and a Stephen Carr. Same year but not related that I’m aware of. Didn’t cross my mind that it was a northern name. My real surname of Hall is common wherever you go though.Well bloody hell, what you can learn at 1.30am on a Sunday morning.....
Turns out my surname is a derivative of the viking "kjrr", or Kerr/Carr in southern Scotland/ Northern England.
I knew Carr was a derivative of Kerr, but never knew the longer history.
Yeah, thats it. Its unreal, I try to make it myself, but its not like theirs.Huttons I think, been there years.
Washington?I went to school with a Gary Carr and a Stephen Carr. Same year but not related that I’m aware of. Didn’t cross my mind that it was a northern name. My real surname of Hall is common wherever you go though.
Nah, Belmont Comp just outside of Durham.Washington?
Yeah, thats it. Its unreal, I try to make it myself, but its not like theirs.
I do make a cracking haggis spaghetti bolognese though.
You take care mate, and best wishes to Mrs Smug. Leadgate is still covered in snow, -3 degrees. Bottom of Medomsley bank, +3 degrees, and not a sign of bloody snow....different world!!
I knew a gary carr from Washington. I know an Old Hall in Washington.....Nah, Belmont Comp just outside of Durham.
All three of us lived on the same estate in Carrville. I reckon there’s a massive old hall in Washington like.I knew a gary carr from Washington. I know an Old Hall in Washington.....
Hmm, derived from "spacious residence", only one way i can think of a copper affording one of themI went to school with a Gary Carr and a Stephen Carr. Same year but not related that I’m aware of. Well actually it’s derived from someone who lived in or at a hall or manor house. That’s what Wiki says anyway. And for Smug it also says it’s one of the Middle March reiving families. I’m descended from criminals!Hmm, derived from "spacious residence", only one way i can think of a copper affording one of them![]()

And there I was, thinking that someone with my obvious breeding and culture could only have come from an aristocratic background. I believe that grandpater is descended from the Carley Hill and Southwick Halls.I think we all are mate![]()
Going to be honest here, and don't want to sound like a kneejerker or owt, but telling people it's going to happen and making back room appointments is (genuinely) all well and good, but the worry is that the transfer window is closing before long and we really need at least two or three first choice players in. If it hasn't happened yet then, since the EFL told KLD it was a formality, we should be pushing them to get it done. If it is approved then just announce it and crack on, no one cares about waiting until some other appointment can come in at the same time tbh.
We're not far off; Shrewsbury looked completely **** but this was their first defeat since November and they'd taken 15 points from their last 7 (including wins at Lincoln and Hull) so this season is there for us and there's no reason why we couldn't go on a similar win. With the wage cap really hitting next year, we can't afford to still be here. We need quality in though, before the top two end up getting too far ahead and to ensure we're doing everything we can. I have no doubts it'll be done, but we don't really need Johnson being told to give us little comforts, we need some real movement where it matters, on the pitch.
As long as Mrs EJK never finds out it'll be fine, your secrets safe with usAnd there I was, thinking that someone with my obvious breeding and culture could only have come from an aristocratic background. I believe that grandpater is descended from the Carley Hill and Southwick Halls.
Thing is mate, these are your family not just some drawings in a book.
It may sound soft but if I'm ever in a dilemma, ask struggling, I'll ask myself what my Reiver family would expect.
If you have a direct line to one of these families it's a blessing mate.
I'm good thanks, been mega busy this week since Monday night so not had a chance to post much and I'm catching up with the stuff I've missed. I just wish it woukd hurry up and be announced so we can focus on getting out of this ****ty league
Morning Sir John. Did you also know Maxine Carr?I went to school with a Gary Carr and a Stephen Carr. Same year but not related that I’m aware of. Didn’t cross my mind that it was a northern name. My real surname of Hall is common wherever you go though.
