I think a lot of the article has been overtaken by events
"Who will be in charge? What is the plan? Why will things be any different to what they are now when so many of the same people remain?"
For me the events of the last few days and the Echo article go a long way to showing that the old have been locked away
True, it’s days old. I asked about at the time and got sent this tweet today

For me it's not just the forwards, we need goals from midfield, we need decent service through the middle, we need players with the mindset to drive into the box. Currently, for me, we're very limited with all of those.

Spot on mate. I mentioned this on the Leadbitter thread. Our strikers are too immobile, so are easy to mark, and don't create the space for others to run into, or thread a pass through. Our midfielders cannot pick a pass.

I haven't seen any of our midfielders making runs beyond the forwards for the through ball or the ball over the top. The last time I saw it was 09 in the early days under Ross.

This get the ball out wide and cross it every time is too predictable, and with our lack of movement and getting numbers in the box, is easy to defend against.

I’m pleased Johnson has sussed this out within his first 90 minutes. We are predictable and slow.

I think it might take time, but I do think we’ll see a different approach.
