Interesting the echo says sartori and KLD will have 79%, wonder if they are expecting KLD to take 40% and sartori to increase to 39%
Think that's because currently CM has 6% and speculation has been that SD drops to15%
Will be interesting to see if the figures speculated on are right
Would be nice if Sartori and KLD have set up a new company together. Rather than separate share holdings "the ownership group"
Hopefully they have at least 79%-80% would be a real bonus if its more

Sounds like it is with the EFL then so no definitive timescales

I suspected it it went to them about the same time the Guardian article came out as that said by the end of November. So while I'm a week after that with no official announcement, we've appointed Speakman and Johnson who both mentioned 'ownership group' and the Echo said Dreyfuss was involved in the interviews for head coach. Seems to me like we already have new owners and they aren't hanging around waiting for EFL paperwork to begin implementing their plans.

However it all plays out, it would be nice to think KLD has a controlling interest. I’m sure he, his mother, wealth fund advisors will insist on over 50% for his investment.

Sounds like that to me as well mate, knowing it’s just a formality. And what a breath of fresh air it is Sunderland being proactive. It takes me back to the summer, when we knew there was going to be some sort of salary cap. Blackpool signed a load of players before it came out, so they weren’t included in the cap, we ****ing didn’t. It strikes me that people like Dreyfus and Speakman, would never let that happen on their watch. Here’s hoping anyhow

Its interesting. When SD took over it was announced that he was taking over before it had been sorted by the EFL. He couldn't wait.
Took another 2-3 weeks before they signed him off.
Refreshing change this lad has come in said nowt but actually started to do stuff. No announcement no fuss just starting to implement a plan.
Bodes well hopefully when the announcement is made we get to see the full extent of their plans for the future.

Appointment of SpD, young forward thinking manager and no leaks until takeover all completed can be summed up in one word. Professionalism. Been missing for quite a while around this club.

I’m actually looking forward to Tuesday night and see what team he puts out. This isn’t about the result, so it’s a free throw of the dice for me. I like the sound of Johnson and I like his sound bites about the owners. Of course it doesn’t mean it will be a success cos I was drawn in by the crooks patter.

He has similar issues to Parkinson when he first got here in that we are playing twice a week all the time. Gives very little time at the training ground in-between to get your ideas throug but at least by January he will know a lot more about the team on the pitch and he'll have two weeks at the start between games to work on it both on the training ground and in the transfer market.

Probably for the best we didn't sign loads of players tbf. Seeing how ****e our recruitment actually was we would have been better off signing less as it is.

I'm buzzing about it all, new owners who can see the potential the place has got. Excellent facilities, large and passionate fan base, just lacking a coherent plan that utilises it's strengths. I think we're at the start of something we've never seen here before and it really excites me. The thought of this place being run properly with some serious financial backing underpinning it is nuts to my head like. As I said previous, I'm looking forward to things at the club and it feels really good to be able to say that again.

The compact schedule does them no favours as you say. There was a post earlier about cancelling days off which is what I'd be very tempted to do, not to come in and physically train but talk to the squad about how he wants them to play, include a few u23s in the discussions and just generally get a better understanding of the place.

Back in the summer that showed just how incompetent the likes of Donald, Methven and Rodwell were in address what has turned out to be a very serious problem now.. Just another one to go with the season card fiasco.

Interesting comment from the gaffer about the lack of ball boys effecting the game yesterday. Sounds like everyone in the stadium will have a part to play going forward. Apparently the multi ball isn't allowed in efl only premier league but we need to use every advantage we can get.

Whilst I agree with the sentiment, our ball boys were ****ing ****! Hopefully another thing our new owners will improve.

no-
How convenient it would be if some of our players ‘happened’ to be contacts with a covid case and, like newcastle, we had to postpone the next couple of weeks games (until the transfer window opened and Onion, Gooch and Hume were fit again) because our players would need to isolate.
no-one would believe our players could catch Covid.
