But not all football clubs are run in that way. The point of a continental set up, which seems to be the direction we're heading in, is that the club has a clear direction on and off the both that is maintained without disruption if and when and manager/head coach needs firing. This would mean that we wouldn't have the major lurches from one approach to another like we did, for instance, when Allardyce replaced Advocaat.
Pearson doesn't strike me as the kind of manager who would fit in with that approach so, if that's what we're doing, going after him would be pointless.
Not all football clubs are you’re right but most top clubs the manager calls the shots. We have already tried this approach only a few years back and the managers complained we bought loads of players they didn’t want

Bit gutted if we've made a decision between Cowley and Johnson and picked one of them and Pearson has thrown his hat into the ring. Between them three it's a no-brainer for me, it would be Pearson hands down.

Pearson is a weird one like. No doubting he'd be the best option BUT, he's volatile. KLD has never owned a club, Sartori barely so, maybe they want a safer pair of hands for their first managerial appointment?

Do you think every Sunderland fan reads 606 or RTG?

It would be ridiculous to have gone through a takeover to then not announce it, whilst recruiting a new manager. I can't actually believe i'm having to explain this.

Do you really think for one moment Donald has recruited Speckman, or the technical director guy, his last act was to tell Rodwell to sack Parky l would expect and the next word as far as l am concerned is TAXI

What on earth are you going on about?

The original point i made was simply that i can't see the club announcing a new manager, without announcing the takeover has gone through.

There would be no reason to not announce a takeover had it gone through, at the time a new manager has been appointed.
Which is a very reasonable assumption to make imo.

Standing back from things. All seems a bit mixed up to me at the moment.
talk yesterday of DOF and new structure. Manager announced today? Takeover still ongoing things to iron out

Hopefully all of this is being driven by our new owners. That being the case if there are still a couple of things to sort out with the takeover
I don't see how they can officially appoint people. Also don't see why anyone would sign up if takeover is still ongoing.

All a bit confusing. Logically I think we'll see a takeover announcement followed closely by new structure and new people.
If they are still ironing out a few things hopefully that is what the delay is.

Being completely paranoid I'd be a bit confused if they announce the new manager and structure before the takeover is finalised

No, and i have never said that either, unsure what your point is.

You do realise Speckman or the TD hasn't been announced yet either? Reiterating my entire point that if a manager is appointed, then surely an announcement on the takeover would be provided also otherwise nothing alligns correctly.

Hard work this.
