Always reassured when your name pops up mate, I was presuming that you hadn't been posting to much as it was getting very close and you are unable to say much.
Always appreciate yours @Wheatsheaf, @Smug in Boots,@Magnus for all your updates. It was never going to be straightforward when it involved Donald but fingers crossed we are nearly there.

Even tonight. Whilst there are positives , unfortunately there are again other issues, I knew Dean Matthews rather well, an amazing photographer and a family man. Took some great images of our city and he lost his life to covid.

Just shows that while some argue the toss on here, there is ALWAYS more important things to worry about. Something for some to thing about.

You’re right though, Covid is rife at the moment - both my folks struggling with it and also my sister, plus 7 month pregnant work colleague so I’m in isolation. Horrible thing it is. Glad to keep that Covid denying bearded arsehole away from ownership of our club.

heaven...unfortunately, since cardiac arrest i became borderline diabetic and the dragon keeps a close eye on the diet now...eat it slow, savour every bite and think of me.

Don’t think fans will be as gullible as they were when Donald came in and he was all talk with his podcasts etc. I hope they are rich but more importantly I just hope they have the ambition and more importantly the know how and contacts to get us out of this league and back to the premier league. Getting out of this league shouldn’t and wouldn’t be difficult if we had the right owners and manager. Getting back to the premier league won’t be easy and will require decent investment but it’s amazing what a good manager can do.

not a full blown buy out more a shares divvy up Don holding 10% and wanting loads for the last 10, new majority shareholder known but not released yet

oh and Parky expected out for Jan

The people at the club know what it looks like to cancel this meeting so I think they were likely working right up until the last minute to get it done and announced for then.
Now they have cancelled it and not given a time scale, it let’s them calm down and make sure they go through everything properly.

This has been a nightmare mate, I've been given very little info at all, no more than a dozen messages.

Even then most of what I've been told is totally confidential.

The stuff about Donald was confidential, when I was told, but it's about to come out so I'm doing no harm. He's had one chance to sell the club/make his money and he's made the absolute most of it.

If it's all passed and announced one of my first pints will be for lads who've kept me going on the pms when I was starting to doubt it all.

Sick of it all now and just want to stop jumping when my phone pings.

Big thing for me is having a 4/5 year plan not just trying to blag our way up with no care about tomorrow

I’ve always thought it doesn’t really matter what style of football you play if you win but this season I feel different. People moaned when big sam came but i had no problems with his football- enjoyed it in fact! The side we have at the minute though with no wingers, no creative midfielders (hope embleton gets more of a chance) no pace and crap strikers is awful to watch. So boring. Haven’t enjoyed one game this season.
