I think it's just an issue with the financial model, the fact that you can make **** loads in the PL but most championship clubs lose a fortune trying to get there. It seems very hard to actually build something in the championship. So you get owners who initially pump money in, hoping to get to the PL but they generally do it without much of a plan (similar on a bigger scale to Donald just throwing money at Grigg because he had a good record in the league). If the initial gamble doesn't pay off clubs can be screwed with massive wage bills and players they can't shift. The parachute payment thing doesn't help either, you can try and build something but every season you get PL clubs coming down with vastly more resources . The whole of football needs a reset, but I doubt the fan led review of football governance will ever happen, instead it'll be led by the big clubs who will exacerbate the problems. Bad times ahead for a lot of clubs I imagine.

Yep, I often wonder if I’d be happy finishing a close third in the Championship and losing the play-off final by the odd goal every season. I’d enjoy my football again, I think.

Like I say I'm not being rude but this was your last post on here ...

"We all know whats coming."

Do you?

I am talking about two different things. Todayi s the first comment i have ever made about this date coming and going with **** all happening

People with the clout of FPP would be able to progress their plans of engaging local/national business, the council, University, etc. They'd have boosted the local economy, and improved the foundations of the club, mainly by being the catalyst and bringing in outside finance. That's because people need to see something they can believe in and invest their time, money and effort. If FPP had come in they'd have immediately 'coaxed' the appropriate bodies into improving the Metro station and approaches to the stadium. They were appalled at the three routes from the train station, town and Metro station. One is through Sheepfolds and another down the disgusting back alley at the back of the Deaf club and Victory. The only decent one is a crowded narrow pavement with shoppers at the bus stops. People coming from the other Metro station and Wheatsheaf have a rat run to get over the roads busy with match day traffic. Once across the road there's the burger alley and bridge that, crazily, has traffic on it on match days. Even the Park & Ride access involves a trudge across a muddy field and occasional confrontations with away supporters.

Its alright for all the daft lads but can't be too pleasant for families who, whether we like it or not, are our future.

The current owners, and people like them, aren't capable of any of this ...

... people simply don't have any faith in them.

Very well said Smug & exactly the reason its unforgivable SD fookn that deal up ffs.

The mags went on, obviously trying to play an angle, about for the sake of the region as a whole. Their takeover would not have benefited the region in the respect that Newcastle as a city has already had hugh amounts pumped into it while Sunderland has not. FPP taking over would have had a massive impact on Sunderland as a city & the region to a lesser extent.

THAT will always be SDs legacy along with the other bollocks he spowted such as investing in him etc. We know he couldnt afford to take Sunderland back to the PL....but tell me any owner who was given the backing of the fans more than he was, record crowds for this level, digging in changing seats etc etc

Extremely frustrating....then to turn on us when questions about intentions get asked....simply not acceptable & shows he is not capable of running a club at our level

We all desperate for a positive outcome on this and soon. I’d be buzzing for us to be on the up and all of us spending our time discussing Salma and the likes instead of Donald ha.

Great post. Very interesting the amount of ‘investment’ going on and especially down at Seaburn on the seafront. Members of FPP couldn’t believe how cheap the properties were down on the front and now seeing a fair few houses being bought and renovated, 2 in particular just past Morrison’s look unreal and will cost an absolute fortune. Again maybe me reading too much into stuff but on of the properties where two houses have been flattened and going to be rebuilt on the from have ‘O’Brien’s demolition’ working on it.

I just cannot see ( apart from the bod ) what lads see in women like her looks like she’s been smashed in the face with a pan.
Yep it was the gizmos I am after reviewing. Body off Baywatch/face off Crimewatch on some of her photos I've reviewed.

Find it terrible how some famous woman change their appearance for 'the better'

Look at Charlotte off of Geordie Shore.
