While I believe every thing that has been said about this being a real takeover, I just get the impression that no one n their right mind would buy any football club outside the top flight until the financial effects of the pandemic are fully known, including any rescue package. For the Yanks with the loan they can just sit and wait and take the club over for nothing if the loan isn’t repaid. As they are sharp businessmen they will wait it out as they have all the cards.

I do think that if we had crowds back In the ground, this would have been sorted by now.

I don’t claim any ITK just my opinion, but I would be interested to hear from those with access to information if I am a million miles away?
Already two clubs have been bought so that blows your theory out the water.

What an absolute waste of time this has been if it just proves to be a reshuffle of shares. Same arseholes in charge.

Has there been some movement to suggest this is the case, or just ITK's with opinions? Sorry, don't really dip in to this topic much now.

I'm not sure there necesarilly needs to have been anybody lied to - people may have been told partial truths but had other stuff left out though.

From GOM which I thought might be a useful reference point.

"This needs some correction. At the last accounting date, he'd personally put in £11.2m (director's loan to Madrox, of which £9.1m went to Short, and the rest into the club). Sartori was owed £3m (which went to Short). The only profit Donald can make is from any surplus from either the sale of Madrox itself, or from Madrox selling its shares in Sunderland and any surplus being distributed to its shareholders after all the creditors have been paid off. The much quoted £37.1m was Madrox's cost of investment before it acquired new shares in Sunderland last November (paid for using the FPP loan). The £37.1m can only be justified on the basis of full replacement of the £25m to Sunderland; to the extent that this has yet to happen, the price is unjustifiable. Any sane buyer will know this. It's difficult to know precisely where we are at the moment, because it's so long since the date of the last published accounts. By my estimates, the amount put back into the club by the turn of the year had reached £13.5m (of which Madrox borrowed £9m). So if he's asking for more than £25.6m for Sunderland, he's looking to make a wholly unjustified, and unjustifiable, ptofit.

If Donald was to sell his shares in Madrox, his break even point is whatever is owed to him by Madrox at the time of the sale. Anything higher than that, in my view, is unjustifiable. You may think he deserves to make a loss; I wouldn't necessarily argue, but he's probably not psychologically ready, or even financially able, to do that yet."

This makes sense. That £9mil loan can be seen as either a 25% stake in the club which values the club at £36 mil, which looks like it's Don's position. Whereas if FFP think it's more like a 30% stake that's about a £28 mil valuaton for the club, which looks a more realistic price according to GOM.

I think the more pertinent question will be whether he was being lied to. There'll be screenshots to prove it no doubt, if he has been. Likewise Wheatsheaf

I don't think screenshots would be needed like, but that's just me. Magnus has said he'll divulge his source like but again, he doesn't have to, not for me anyways. If folk have been lied to at least they've learned someone they thought they could trust is actually a twat, so at least some good comes out of it.

Devil is in the detail.
If like you say its the same old faces then yes.
But we see new money and more importantly new footballing people being brought in
then it could be the start of a way out of this ****e.
Whatever we need a proper plan and to us of rid of this flip the club for a quick profit mentality
If its just rearranging the chairs on the titanic then we are in trouble.

That's what I said. I wasn't on about the poster being a twat, I was on about their source being one. They've been a twat and fed dis-information which someone has then posted in good faith when it never was the truth to start with. That's why I'm happy being NITK as that way no-one's going to bother with that kind of **** with me. I also prefer the random source rather than club source tbh. Think Lens broke as someones brother worked at a car dealership, Januzaj and the pigeon racer, the art dealer with Fuhrman, can't beat a good random imo.

Sorry, I meant the source's source.

For instance lets say Magnus's source is Tony Davidson. Tony could be geting fed nonsense by somebody still at the club. And that person in turn could have got lied to.

My point I guess I'm making is if any of the ITKs are wrong, it could be that any person in the chain has lied.

Just can't see that, they don't need help.
They dont need help and hopefully they have seen right through Donald
But maybe they see something in Satori that they can work with
He is fairly high profile on a world stage now and has sound financial footballing contacts with his inlaws.
As long as SD and hopefully CM go I could live with Satori being involved.
