Do that and you have infinite regress. The point comes to trusting your source enough to share info and everyone in the chain is responsible for that. If anyone wants to name a source because they've been lied to that's up to them. I do think though that if anyone passes duff info on, that's their responsibility regardless of the source's motivations. That's why I'll take everything in good faith and appreciate what folk post but I'll read it all with a hefty bag of salt.
The challenge is in the last sentence. Those two arrogant greedy arseholes think they deserve a profit.
There's been about an extra 20 pages since I last looked. Please could someone update with the latest?
Didn't Sartori sell his cannabis company for like 170 million last year? He'll still be worth more than Donald if he's actually bothered to run the club properly.
There’s possibly a takeover happening but nobody is certain as there are conflicting sources of information.
Don't want Sartori taking charge, don't trust him at all. Pie in the sky ideas about bringing boat loads of Uruguayan kids over who wont get work permits, or similar ideas about a Uruguayan feeder club. **** off man, you're meant to be doing what's best for the club, not just thinking of ways to provide opportunities for Uruguayans! Then he's likely to just decide to go and be president again, or become a groupie for Motorhead, or take up fighting crime at night in a chicken suit. He can piss off with the rest of them.
Even they are nervous about the losses of the championship though, they've looked at derby and Nottingham forest who have spent big and neither has got promoted which is there concern, Ellis short spent 300 million to keep us up, forest and derby have probably spent that to not be in the premier League.
Whenever people like them invest in a company,it's all about the people in executive positions. They don't know how to manage an English football club...they'll want to appoint people who do,exactly the same as any other business they've become involved with .Buffett says the thing he looks most closely at is the management quality of the executives.....it'll be the same for them.Ellis may have spent £300m....but he never had one single competent person in areas of major responsibility, not one.
When he first became involved, it was reported that he didn't feature on the Forbes list of billionaires but it was suggested that he wasn't far off that. The company that he founded was involved in lots of things, forestry, agriculture, oil, energy, real estate and reportedly had assets worth more than a billion.
I hope FPP stays involved if Sartori is taking over, as there would be still hope of a big investor down the road. Even better if they convert their loan into shares in the re-shuffle. But one worry is the earlier rumor about Furhman wanting 'resolution'. For me that means they are not happy with the status quo, but taking that literally could mean one of two things, buying the the club or withdrawing completely. Paying off the FPP loan and leaving just Sartori and Methven would leave us nowhere.
Resolution may just mean...wanting it resolved? For sure, not happy with the status quo of indecision and lack of progress, but it may mean to reach something he'd be happy with?
I think Sartori taking control can be positive. His politics side and been quite highly thought of in his country, he won’t want this to fail. Added to that his family and their links to Monaco etc, it could be huge for us.
Agreed mate. I'm probably jumping the gun here...there's nothing to say he's taking over. But,I've seen him interviewed on US tv...he's very successful, bright, young and comes from a country where football is very important..he knows the game. If he can bring his resources to the table, together with his obvious intelligence and energy, it could be the right thing for us.
Is there any firm/solid indication that JS is looking to take a bigger stake in the club or are we dealing in rumours here.
