I totally agree but, by some crazy coincidence, I've just had a message from someone who knows Methven.

It's saying the deal is close to being finalised.

I don't normally post 'info' from this lad, as he's Sunderland daft and even more rose tinted than me, but he's insisting it's first hand info and genuine. That's all I know and I'm just off to do a couple hours work. I'll post any update when I'm back so fingers crossed.

It's strange that people, who have been on this thread from the start, are claiming anyone posting info is being vague. Similar posts appear elsewhere on a daily basis. I've no idea how people's minds work tbh.

That's great news if true, though I'm still hedging my bets and being cautious. I'm keeping my neck wound in and just letting it take however long it takes, but from you, prehab and Magnus I'm confident of a positive outcome sooner rather than later.

Thanks for posting, and as others have said you're posting in good faith and aren't pretending to be more informed than you are (unlike Mad Bob). The fact that it's so quiet and so little getting out means people are going to interpret things differently depending on what they hear. Though to throw a bit of my own speculation out there, as we don't really know what Sartoris involvement with us has been, is it possible that he was the one who originally introduced FPP to Sunderland, which is why they're prepared to work with him now?

Disagree to be fair mate, forums are cross sections of both founded and unfounded facts, also individual opinions. People that wail about the unjustifiable posts, because they don't suit the posters agenda, are basically stamping their feet because others do not agree. Naive, childish and TBH weak as piss.

For me, the reason it looks doubtful is because no one ITK can actually tell us who's involved in the 'takeover'.

People are claiming there's meetings, but can't tell us who's at them.

To be fair you've only come up with 3 Anonymous posters on the internet and a local journalist that has since backtracked.

It’s 3 posters with good contacts and aren’t wums. They’re good solid fans that would do anything for the club and fans and are posting the things they hear with good faith from people close to the deal. Barnes has not backtracked as of yet he just keeps saying end of month, someone within the club told him originally. Small bits and pieces are coming out suggests there’s a takeover.

Just realise kittens is saying things to get a reaction and he sort of got one off me so I’ll just ignore what he posts from now on
