I don't know who it is in talks but I'm really hopeful its Mickey Gray's lot. It does seem odd he's bringing stuff up from July (mind that bloke having a go sounds like an absolute tool) so I'm clinging onto whatever straw I can find in the hope it's not just Sartori buying Donald out

Fancy having your daughter with you in your profile picture when you attack someone like that on Twitter too. Daft lad. Perhaps MG has only spotted it today hence the reply, rather than it being anything specific. He must still be under NDA otherwise I am sure he would have said more by now.

For me, the reason it looks doubtful is because no one ITK can actually tell us who's involved in the 'takeover'.

People are claiming there's meetings, but can't tell us who's at them.

I hope I'm wrong, but apart from posters on here and 1 journalist, there's nothing at all that suggests a takeover?

I do agree with you from a pure black and white perspective. However there are just too many other subtle hints that suggest something is happening. None of them on their own mean much at all, but together it starts to add up to feeling confident change is a-foot:

  • Donald himself saying he wants to sell
  • The current climate essentially making it important for Donald to sell
  • Magnus, Smug and Prehab's individual "ITK" info from different sources
  • Barnes' tweets
  • Storey's tweets
  • Dave Jones saying a couple of months ago that something had happened recently that made him really optimistic for the future
  • No Chairman being appointed
  • No Chief Scout being appointed
  • No Head of Academy being appointed
  • Previous Head of Academy quoting "impending takeover" as a reason to move on
  • A sudden change of focus from a recruitment perspective
  • No other media outlet reporting anything about Sunderland's ownership whatsoever. This would seem like proof "nothing" is happening, but we've never had this little speculation since Donald took over. It's more likely they know something and have been asked to or choosing not to report or specculate.

Like I say, every single one of those can be explained in a way that means no takeover happens. But all of them together feels like "no smoke without fire".

I said, weeks ago, that Fuhrman wants a resolution, is happy for Sartori to be involved and his London based solicitor is having meetings.

I've no idea how much more specific I can be tbh.

I couldn't care less what Barnes, RTG, or anyone else says ...

... that's good info, from non-football people, that I'm happy to pass on.

I can see your point.

But from my point of view, although Donald does want to sell, i don't think anything is close.

Storey is making the most noise and if it wasn't for his dubious history, it would look like it's only a matter of time before he brought the club.

Other than him, there's no noise from any other party.

So from what you've been told, it's fuhrman and sartori?

If there's an NDA in place, there wouldn't be any "noise". A few nods and winks are as good as it gets.

There shouldn't be any noise from perspective buyers, particularly those under NDA plus after last year people have learned a lesson hopefully so I see this lack of noise as a very good thing particularly in the context of all the reasons laid out above of why we should believe something g is happening
