As GG says, there's a suitable company to buy Madrox and even if there wasn't you can create a company in a morning. If FPP want the club they'll get it. I'm not knocking other people, who believe in Gray, but I'm not sure he can persuade people to risk up to a million quid for due diligence which might be a wild goose chase if FPP step in.

As Smug says it takes about 20 minutes to create a company - I did it last year But even so, I believe FPP Sunderland still technically exists - they just issued a notice advising it was closing but didn't actually close it. Feels like it was more brinkmanship from them. May be wrong tho

Really annoying you aren’t I for some reason. I’ve already stated I believe who I’ve spoke to to be very accurate with a number of things, and I have no doubt on this either. What NB’s says is fine, but until he states his source isn’t SD or one of his cronies, everyone will discredit him as they don’t trust SD. He’s a professional and I’m just a fan. He’s leading with this news (no one else is), he’s reporting the takeover in the media (no one else is).... so I hope for all of our sakes it comes to fruition. I unfortunately still don’t think it will. Obviously people are getting giddy again, and it will be all over here for the next month, but all we can do is wait till NB’s drip feeds us his sources Tid bits here and there. As I said, the lad who told me is pretty accurate, if that changes I’ll believe him, but at the moment it’s still the same. I wouldn’t trust SD or anything he says, so don’t be upset when nothing happens

You're not smart enough to be annoying, you can just about achieve mildly irritating. Although I am quite happy to point out how full of **** you are. And when the takeover goes through you'll slink off, only to be seen again under a new username and the whole cycle starts again.

By going off the time scale I was giving 3 weeks, I said i think it could be into the efl checks, yesterday I got message saying it was into the efl checks

End of the month seems to be what Barnes was hinting at. So 3 or 4 weeks, at least.
Nothing to back it up but personally I don't think anything will be done before the transfer window shuts.

When Donald took over it was announced/all over sky sports news that he'd taken over subject to EFL clearance. Is it with the EFL in the same way now, and we are just going to hear when it's done, done with that bit completed too?

The prospective new owners might want to complete in a different manner, especially after the last takeover broke down at the last minute.

I've heard from an impeccable source that you're on the money. ITV is bringing back Beadele's About but with Barnes hosting the show and the whole takover talk is an elaborate wind up which culiminates with the cackling Don bursting out of a massive cake just before the Bristol City game.

This is why, to a large extent, I find the clamour for billionaire owners a bit odd. We've had one of them before and it wasn't that great. What we really need is someone who knows how to run a football club.

Its not that long ago that people were saying that no billionaire would ever be interested in owning either of the NE's big clubs. I think its pretty obvious that the clubs themselves are massively attractive and so I was pretty sure that eventually a financial heavyweight would turn up. Massive wealth doesn't mean anything if they don't understand football or don't bring in people who do.

Being a billionaire owner doesn’t of course make you a good owner and we’ve seen that before. What it does do, it enables risks to be taken in terms of pumping money into things other than just the first team ie academy etc without it being financial suicide.

If things don’t work out, a billionaire owner can afford to have another go at it. We’ve see. With SD his plan hasn’t worked and he needs to sell asap cos he can’t afford not to
