Can you all remember how excited we all got when Short sold up, we thought Donald & Co were going to lead us back to the big time and how that has panned out.
Yes we need a change at the top but there is never a guarantee were not going to repeat the last two and a bit years under new owners no matter how rich they are.
Feeling like most on here this is dragging on beyond what most of us expected and just want it done, can't get excited either way just want it over and done with.

The Scunthorpe owner reckons the voiding of last season cost them one and a half million, that's on their gates.
That's cash income and expenditure.

Aye, as much as Short was a failure SD has been immeasurably worse. I’ll admit to having been taken in by him and Methven, but in hindsight it’s probably because I wanted to be. They promised the world and delivered nowt.
I so want to believe that there is going to be a change of ownership but I’ve been metaphorically kicked in the nads so many times by this club that I often wonder how much more they can take.

And that’s it in a nutshell isn’t it? The sheer arrogance of the man who thought he could succeed at Sunderland even though he was an abject failure at Eastleigh, a non league non entity. He had no idea at all.

The last visitors were paying guests and were two lovely English couples. The place rents for £15,000 a week so they must be well off. One was a lawyer who's dealt with Short and Shepherd so definitely one to keep in touch with. The other fella, and the women, are all BBC producers, sadly not sports.
This Saturday we have 18 friends of the owner who've been staying on David Dein's yacht in Antibes, 'Take it Easy' I think its called. They're bringing the chef who are always big gossips. The leading lady is quite interesting and sounds great fun on the phone. She says her friends are all interesting sorts, this is her ...

He thought he was on to a winner and tried to flip the club to Campbell first year, why he's never been challenged on this when he says he's decided to step down after 19 months due to pressure from the fans is beyond me
Same but for me I never trusted the ****er from day 1 something wasn't right.
I am crossing everything and hoping the end of Donald is soon.
I see that Chris Weatherspoon has heard very similar to me in terms of misinformation over the takeover and nothing being likely to happen soon. Not sure what good a protest would do, and when we could realistically stage one, but if there's a way of ramping pressure up on Donald we need to be looking into doing it imo

This is the big problem isn't it.
Donald can't get us to the PL but knows what money awaits on the back of someone who can.
He's capable of clinging on, holding things back and f*ck**g us up again.
Aye, I'm hoping eventually the penny will drop for him that the value the likes of FPP have placed on the club is a lot more realistic than the price he wants. However I genuinely think he'll keep clinging on until the very last minute. It'll probably end up costing him a fortune but I think he'll make the classic gamblers mistake of chasing his losses.

If he fails to get us up, for the third time, he could lose a fortune or take us into admin.
If Donald wants to stay why doesn’t he spend just a couple of million on 3-4 really good league 1 players to get us promoted.
Not sure he can afford it, not sure they'd fit into the wage cap, and as we saw with Grigg he isn't certain to get it right! They said right at the start when they first came in that they felt you could go up without spending. That's true, but you need decent recruitment to do it. Regardless, he seems to think he can get it right so looks like he'll back himself (and likely fail) again.
No protests please. They just risk bringing embarrassment to the club.
That was his plan with grigg i think. Putting all his eggs in one basket. Failed miserably.
Depends how they're done. Shop shouting and mock funerals are embarrassing, other protests need not be. When RAWA did a survey recently a clear majority seemed to be in favour of protesting if required, so I'd expect to see something along those lines if nothing happens regarding a change of ownership this summer.
