I will give the man credit for one thing, he did improve things massively off the field on the financial side. Had it not been for the debt write of the club would have made a decent profit. On the field is a different story but I dont think we will ever find his plans had it gone right. Its time for him to do the noble thing. He has this offer from some very good people its time accept he has done his all. Take the money offered and get back the majority of what you put in. Go and live a quiet life with your family not having to worry about us lot. You gave it your best shot now please give the club it’s best chance of getting back to where it belongs.
At first hand it looks like they have but a couple of points to remember. Those recent accounts are last year (2018/19) and were boosted by two Wembley visits and record crowds on the Boxing Day etc. SInce then we've had a full year of trading on reduced crowds and therefore gate receipts, no Wembley boosters and whilst more stripping has been done, if it's true we're still paying the wages of the likes of Cattermole and Oviedo then the wage bill won't have come down too much. Then there's the money for Grigg which will have come from the club somewhere, I don't buy the crack that Donald paid for him out of his own money which was rumoured at the time.
When the next set of accounts come out that will be the time to see exactly how well they've done financially off the pitch imo.

Reiver gets banned from RTG, his detractors response is no one gets you banned, only you yourself can
Some unknown gets banned on here and it’s still his fault
I used to get banned almost weekly from 606 for having the gloves on with a bloke called Smuginantibes.
He never posts now.

Imo NQD was on a wind up and not very good at it. He had one line of attack - he knew as a fact that nowt was happening (paraphrasing), and just hammered this home.
Add in the insults mentioned before, the classic 'realism' and 'not wishing to put a dampener', and 'different opinion', lines, a poor wum/troll for me.

I dont think he was out for debate or discussion, cant decide tho whether it was just mischief making or an attack on smug?

It's quite rare, in my experience, that after a board meeting there's no statement/comments/press release.

It seems generally accepted that people were around for rwo days yet the supporters are left completely in the dark.

There's a deathly quiet from the club, media, fanzines, etc. No new chairman, one of Donald's buddies going, Storey making wild claims, etc but no contact from the club.

New players are coming in almost as if they're sneaked in by the back door. Even with a new season fast approaching Parkinson seemingly has little to say about these players.

The whole situation is quite surreal.

I haven't been banned for a while. Ever since a bloke called Somewanker has knicked my flat cap stopped posting

Never thought of it like that tbh. I just hope that the deafening silence means something. My only misgiving is a quote from a course I was on as a young detective when dealing with the media. It was ‘feed the monster or the monster will feed itself.’ Which up to a point is happening over the road.

whatever is going on it feels cloak and dagger and as you say that isn’t just around any potential change in ownership which is understandable but seemingly around everything at the club.

key (not performing mind) roles being vacated out of the blue and not replaced.

confirmed actions for board meetings ie new chairman not communicated (has it happened? If not why not - rhetorical)

Nothing like the normal pre season bluster and comms just the odd interview, training video, almost nowt on pre season.

maybe we are just incompetent behind the scenes but just feels strange.

This will no doubt be pounced on by the clique but wtf do I care, for the decent people on here ...

... 'talks ongoing, progress made, both camps back in their bunkers, more talks arranged'.

And another message from someone who I trust and who has a convoluted 'in' with the club.

"He wanted out before the virus struck and were currently £1m per month short of his budget. The problem is that it's in Fuhrman's interest to string things out. Madrox is the target which simplifies and speeds the process. He's fallen out with his allies and looks isolated."

I take it we are talking about SD here not Fuhrman?
