Yes,but that's in the hands of the new owners and the terms of the deal. I've no idea, but we could speculate that the price to acquire a controlling stake at this moment in time is comparatively low and an agreement is in place to acquire the remaining Donald shares, at an agreed higher price, once some success is achieved. This may be something like half his holding when we are in the Championship at a price, and the remainder once we are in the PL,at another price.As it isn't at all likely that Donald will retain any kind of executive role in the club from here on......indeed he's already relinquished that.....and is highly unlikely to visibly attend any matches,I don't see why that would bother anyone. If we get the success we deserve and get back to the PL with a team capable of competing in it,the fact that Donald may be paid off and disappear into the sunset isn't likely to be on anyone's radar. If my speculation above is anywhere near,the risk is still his that the new owners can generate the success required to trigger his pay-out.....something he will have no input into. If they fail,he gets nowt and will have to enter the whole process again from a much weaker position.
