Fantastic news.

1) KLD owning 51% of this club is everything. No more bullshit speculation about full control etc.
2) It's brilliant to finally have that c*nt Methven out of this club.
3) Sartori increasing his commitment suggests he's fully onboard with the plan.
4) The remaining shares not being purchased by a third party owner suggests some kind of agreement in place. No destabilising influences buying into the club.

Donald will move on in due course and I don't really care if his shares go to KLD, JS or an agreed buyer. For me the ownership matter is settled for the long term now and I'll focus a lot less on the mechanics behind it.

Great news and hopefully the start of getting ourselves back to the top again.

"Following the 2021-22 season, it was the intention of Juan and I to ensure the ongoing speculation relating to the Club’s shareholding was addressed as soon as possible".

The above part of the KLD statement makes me wonder just how much a part the fans played in them deciding to take on more shares a) in the way the fans haven't let up on the last 'takeover' and the fact Donald and Methven still had a large shareholding and b) the way the fans were at Wembley maybe really opened their eyes to just how much this place could really take-off with the right structure and financial backing in place.

Hadn't been on this thread for a little bit so when I clicked it to read the jubilation, the newest post it took me to was Bob talking about Sartori selling up. Bless him. <laugh>

Tbf the ITKs should always be taken with a pinch of salt, makes these forums more interesting but can get yourself wound right up if you take them as gospel.

Of course but I doubt anyone is actually ITK tbh.

I'm not, but I get lots of gossip some of which comes from agents, friends of agents or friends of journalists, etc.

You'd think there's as much banter and daft rumours amongst them, probably more.

I was told Dan Neil might go out on loan, which is possible, and to Wimbledon, which isn't.

I made a point of saying it was gossip and bizarre but, of course, some knackers say I've said it's happening. Even if it's been suggested there'd be a huge amount of work before it had the chance of being a possibility.

It's not even the most incredible thing I've been told <laugh>

This is great news for us all. A couple of good signings and we’ll break the SCs target of 30K

Bring on the South Americans into our Academy as JS said he would

Life is good again
Aye mate. Also, KLD has a reputed knowledge of World footall and has many contacts within the game too.

This is his dream of owning a potential viable Football club.

He now realises that he has his arms around a Football club which has a heart that beats with a lifeblood called a 'Community Passion'

I believe he has his own driven passion to succeed. I also believe he's a winner.

Let the good times roll...

I may be wrong but I thought that SD had to match any investment made by KLD respective to his shareholding. How the **** is Arthur Daley going to manage that??

I might be talking bollocks of course!
because he's just made a lump of money by selling 15% of his stake in SAFC.

i think a few have alluded to the fact that SD seemed to be 'hanging on' and hoping for that mega profit he always hoped for, the selling of his shares gives him some capital that he hopes will keep him involved until promotion and the value of his shares increase again.

of course, he is taking a bit of a gamble as he will have to keep putting into the pot so his gamble seems to be that this current capital will be enough to last until promotion...should we hover around mid/bottom half for a couple of seasons he may start to struggle, on the other hand, should we get back to back promotions he could get his elusive pay-out.

this is all speculation on my part of course but i remember posting a few weeks ago that the two of them should take the offer and leave, CM has done just that but SD still appears to be dreaming of some amazingly massive profit (there could of course be other reasons) ...i think he should have sold all but maybe he has an agreed price for the rest when KLD has the spare capital

It's a cracking day as far as I'm concerned. Methven gone is great Donald I'm not bothered about. Apparently he does work very hard and does a lot for the community side of the club. I don't know it's what I'm told. Been fun on here the last few weeks following the snippets of gossip. Thanks to all concerned.
@Bob the Mackem and welcome, @Prehab26 @Wheatsheaf and at @Smug in Boots for the info. Interesting comments also from @Lucky19672 and welcome.
Now for a few signings to keep the good news rolling.
