Don't see why, when Stewart crossed the ball and completely miscues it he catches Wright off balance, other than that Wright never put a foot wrong and has been like that most of our run in under AN.
Pity you have picked out this one incident in over two months of football, shame really imo.
I think you've misread the context of the post. He was commenting on someone else saying they rewatched the playoff games and can't quite believe we did it. Think he just means that although he knows the outcome he still gets nervous when Wright misses the header and Vokes is through. I don't think he meant it as a criticism of Wright.

We should have went for a second goal Southgate tried to protect a lead against a slow back line by dropping deep when we should of stayed on the front foot, it was obvious that what frightened Italy the most was pace in behind as was shown by the what should have been red card against Saka

Agree, we had Italy on the ropes and should have went for it all out. Reminds me of our final against Charlton, they were all-over the place and would never have got back into the match of we didn't sit back and let them re-group.

Fair enough

TBF, if some of our players just ran up and kicked the ball instead of piss farting about in the Euro final, the outcome may have been different. Semi final, then a final is progression. These friendlies are a waste of time.
Yeh it is but for how many years have we been the bridesmaid and never the bride

Completely misjudged my comment there.

Does your brother Ian still live in Boldon if so I know him well
Yeah, Ian still lives in Boldon. He just moved to Wells Street a couple of months ago. My elder brother Brian does as well. The trip back to Boldon recently was to see them. Managed a couple of beers in The Dyke as well for old times sake.

Yep, the curse of being England manager... doing well, in big tournaments is not good enough (deluded fools). It seems they want style over substance.
Then again, other than Kane, who do we have that is clearly world class. Grealish imho flatters to deceive.
Southgate sets us up as hard to beat (remind you of anyone?), then hoping Kane or perhaps Stirling will nick a goal. Sterling missed a sitter last night.

Not knocking him. Done a good job. Just I would be interested to see a better manager having a crack with these players whilst we still have an edge. I feel that he got the job as a caretaker role as a stop gap whilst we panically looked for Allardyce's replacement, got a few good results, deservedly gave it to him full time and done well. Before Allardyce he would not have got a look in. He's hugely benefitted from a great group of players with such strength in depth (attacking wise). Then again. I don't really care until after this Qatar world Cup. Got no interest in it and I don't think Southgate should be too harshly judged by it. Anyway, last time I mention it on this thread in case I get wrong!

I'm sure he had a pop at the fans during one of the fan engagement meetings as well. 'uneducated northerners' or something like that.
I went to a talk in at Steels club. He upset a few people there as well. I hate the bloke myself. Used to get in Harbour View sometimes. Was also at a talk in at Queen Vic that was only on about 40 mins due to technical issues and them going off to see Watmores come back in reserves. He came across as a ****er there as well. All my own opinion of course.

Not a good idea upsetting the crowd at Steels <laugh><laugh>. The queen Vic one is on STID iirc.
Strangely enough, I was at that u23 game when Watmore made his comeback. I went down with the bairn. Foggy as **** and he missed a pen iirc. If that's the same game.

Aye it was on STID apparently. Was a bit of a waste of time truth be told. Bob was at both. Really nice bloke.
