Well quite possibly my first snippet in about 20 years since Mr Kilbane was at the club but I have been told its all gone through. Money being spent on the academy and stadium upgrades happening as we speak, just tarting it up but happening now.
Haway the new clock batteries.

Knowing that the academy was being properly maintained would definitely give the players a lift!

Although I realise this is a pun on the broken lift.

I don't think players coming into a club where the academy and ground were properly maintained would get anything from that as it should be expected. However, to be a player or member of staff in a club where things aren't being maintained will lower have a big negative effect. As mentioned with the clocks, if it was a well run well maintained set up with the staff having high standards and a bit of pride the first few people to notice clocks with batteries needing replacing would just do it. But if it's an ingrained feeling that things don't work and aren't maintained then they will walk by and add it to their mental list of faults that aren't fixed.

was it not they sold the stadium to themselves for way over what a reasonable market value would be as a means of getting more money into the club rather than just naming rights?

I think you are right it was selling the stadium, but I didn't realise it was to themselves. I guess there are more question marks if ti is above value and to yourself.

Do the fans have to do these jobs like we changed the seats?

Donald had me down for replacing the drainage under the pitch, he'd picked my season ticket number out at random which is fair enough I suppose, I had 3 weeks holiday booked in from the office and was due to turn up next week with a trowel to make a start.

Looks as though I won't be needed now, which is nice.

He'll get you to do his lawn in Oxford instead

<party> without doubt a dancing man. I am now very content, the annoucement can come whenever it likes. All going on behind the scenes. Its just a little thing that I have been involved with but KLD spotted it on Saturday and its trying to be rectified within a week. superb professionalism.

Good to know that he's sorting all the things out that needs doing. I'm of the same opinion - he's now running the club which has been obvious since before the announcement on Christmas Eve. Yes it would be nice for another announcement to say its all finalised just to put a smile on all the pessimists faces but for me its all done and dusted. Hopefully the start of a long climb back up to the big boys and this time really make an impression!

Not being arsey or owt but interested in why and what, and by who, you think isn’t being handled well m8?

We've known for several weeks that KLD has acquired control. It's been said by a statement from the club, backed up by our very own four or five ITK's, who I trust implicitly!
The delay in official announcement has been put forward by various sources at various times as being the EFL,but it's been very clear that the appointment of Johnson,Speakman,Davison and the clear out of Graham, the signing of Stewart, has been driven by someone other than Donald.
So,it seems KLD is in control....which I am very, very happy with!
But,here we are, loyal, committed fans, still refreshing this ****ing page day after day, week after week.
I can't for the life of me think why it can't be confirmed officially. We've been led to believe that there is a marquis admin appointment still to be made, and that is the reason for the delay.....but why?
We've been here,...day after day,week after week,...waiting for this for a long time.....we know it's done...,get it ****ing announced,FFS! Why the delay?

And what sort of negativity would they open themselves up for if those appointments didn't eventuate within the next few weeks?

Lets be honest. The only reason people are wanting an announcement is to be sure that SD is gone. The photos from the other day, the appointments that have been made, the payment of a transfer fee all point to it being done. If waters falling from the sky outside, i don't need someone to announce that it's raining :emoticon-0105-wink:

Not right. Couldn't give a **** about SD....we know he's gone.....if it's raining outside, why won't someone come onto the balcony with an umbrella?

So in a nutshell, what’s not being handled well, in your opinion, is the fact that the club hasn’t announced the takeover, because people on here and other places have said it’s done in all but name. I reckon it’s not done yet for reasons I don’t know, and tbh I’ve got no right to know, I’m just a lad who’s supported them for 50 years, but other than my season ticket, or in the old days my mams cash in the fulwell end turnstiles, I’ve no skin in the game. I’d love to know what’s going on, but as with any takeover of any business, I’ll probably only see the end result, when it’s finished. It doesn’t mean the club aren’t handling it well, or appropriately, it just means I’ve no right to know, and given somebody’s putting tens of millions into my club I’ll just have to be patient, cos it’s their business and not mine. That’s my take on it anyway.

Yeah, its unused at the moment so anything is money we weren't getting. I can only assume that his family and he have connections that will enable him to have some Man City type sponsors. Did they sell the ground name for 500million or something crazy and it was rumoured it was mainly the owners money anyway.
Yes, sheik mansour’s family own Etihad airways.
