posted by smug yesterday, I was told, and posted, that Louis-Dreyfus was hoping to use the Fleetwood game to announce his self- appointment to chairman, as the new owner.

That obviously can't happen and it's pointless stringing it out any longer, as I've been told yesterday and repeated today.

The EFL have OK'd the ratification and will double check it by Wednesday. (Again, this is second hand info.)

After that it's up to the club how to handle things.

Sadly a press conference, personal appearance or whatever is unlikely due to the new lockdown.

So it looks like being a recorded message on the club website and links to the media.

What could possibly be our best ever takeover might start off very low key ...

... perhaps that's for the best.

Aye. I believe the EFL don't expect any issues with it either and have pretty much confirmed it'll go through verbally (which is probably why the club were confident enough to make a statement about it). Magnus always hinted that Fox would leave when it was approved, so I think we can safely assume we're talking days for official confirmation rather than weeks

The lad who's saying this week was the one who gave me Christmas Eve as the date the first announcement.

He's quite blasé about this one so I'm going along with it.

Shame that he couldn't have appeared to the crowd at the Fleetwood game, but that was always wishful thinking imo.

Now we've no handy match that we can use, so it may as well just be done so that LJ and everyone else can get on with the window etc.

are you suggesting we should be playing with Salmas two up top, as the defensive back doors are too tight to smash in, i'm also optimistic on a 2s up scenario
