As per I've been to graft but kept an eye on the result today. Imo only, if the fans were at the games, I believe we'd be in the relegation zone. This lot are getting away scott free. No pressure on them at all, proof that this "fear" of playing at home in front of the fans is rubbish, because this is what they serve up. If this is how bad they are playing in empty stadiums, imagine how much worse they would be getting a bit stick from the stands, as well at encouragement.Shower of ****e getting a free pass playing for our great club. Like I say, these are my views.

But I read on here earlier, tonight's result was the caretaker managers fault.

Really worried at some of the names being linked.

Granted the Cowley’s have had some significant success to date and at various points in time previously I’d have been prepared to back them, I just don’t think that this is the right time for them, particularly if the Dreyfus takeover is going through.
To be fair they come across as decent lads and have done a lot in their communities, I’m not too far from Lincoln and they are well respected there. They deserve more respect than to be labelled hoof ball as they are capable of varying things depending upon opposition and their own teams strengths.
Problem for me is that they’ve not had the experience of the goldfish bowl in Sunderland and the need to hit the ground running from the off. The takeover has raised expectations amongst the fan base and I’m not sure they would be well received and the whole regime would be under the cosh from the off.
I’ve not watched the stream tonight but it didn’t sound great and we’ve got a couple of teams just below us in the league with multiple games in hand which could see us as low as 9th.
Johnson has done well previously at Bristol City but although they are a decent sized club I doubt he’d inspire the fans either.

If Poyet is out of the mix, Pearson would be the go to man but doesn’t seem to be in the shake up. Maybe he wouldn’t be prepared to work under a Sporting Director or DOF.

The Sporting Director and Manager need to be aligned in their thinking. Schwarz would be excellent given his knowledge of the club and area as well as his extensive contacts in many European countries.

The Manager/Head Coach will need to galvanise players and fans.

Hope to God we get these appointments right or this season could be over for us before the end of January.

I think schwartz will be, if you recall today that news broke just before what I now believe to be a smoke screen with gus
Maybe Poyet only just found out who the DOF was today and decided for whatever reason he didn’t want to work him, so maybe it was the person and not the model that was the issue. Total guess from me, don’t know out.

That’s the way I’m tending to lean mate

If he is in charge, they should do what they are told. Ffs...
Cloughy tried that at Leeds but the players were against him and the players usually win. How many managers have been sacked because the players wouldn’t play for them? And clough at the time was a top manager.

Different posters on the forum have different opinions mate. What’s your thoughts on it?

Players are supposed to be professionals and at the top of their trade. Formations, playing players out of position and all the rest of it , I get it but f''k off man. It's 11 v 11, step up to the plate.

I would say though, if you had one game to put yourself in the shop window as a manager and arguably nothing to lose, mix it up a bit and show some positivity with team selection and intent, but after that its down to to the players.

They weren't good enough tonight (again) to beat a poor side.

Poyet still raging about the 4-1 back in 99. Schwartz in the team at the SOL. Poyet scored that day aswell. lol
“Hi gus thanks for coming in today, firstly just want to let you know that we are bringing in a sporting director, Stephan Swartz”

“increyable 4-1 he said my eyes were too close together during that match, no thanks”
