I've kept off here because I didn't want to cloud the issue or appear 'all knowing', I'm certainly not.

I've been asking, for almost a week, about these rumours and have had nothing back.

Now I've had a response but really considered how to phrase this because it looks vague, sorry it's the best I can do.

'FPP' have no immediate plans to end their involvement with SAFC. I've no direct confirmation of what that means so it's a little bit of guesswork on my part. The people who've given me this information aren't directly involved, have no significant financial involvement and wouldn't have any contact with people outside of the 'FPP' realm.

There's definitely something happening, people 'I know' are starting to distance themselves from Donald.

As a guess, and believe me this really is a guess ...

... if this progresses Donald would be gone and another 'Donald' would be installed with continued backing from 'FPP'.

I'm inclined to believe it but perhaps that's because it's what I want to happen.

For another "Donald" it would be good if that was O'Brien - not that he would be as incompetent but doesn't have enough money that would be required to get the club back up to the Premier hence the need for FPP backing

I don't think anyone mentioned has the money required to bring the club to the level it should be at ....

... we couldn't manage it with Short so another Donald, on his own, would be futile.

Straw clutching time now, chopping and changing between here and over the road. Can't get anything done.
I'll never learn will I?

But say the Americans don't have any faith in Donald now, O'Brien's cone in to run the day to day to get up to the Championship, a few more million is put in for shares to help get us up to the Prem, then they take full control of the club - not that I'm getting my hopes up whatsoever!

Why would they have any faith in Donald .. .

... he's a failure, twice, who's now alienated the entire support.

Someone local, and bullshiit free, would quickly galvanise the supporters.
