OK, this is what I honestly believe having spoken to everyone I could contact who has an insight, from a national journalist through RAWA to a mate of one of the owners ... I won't say which one.

I've only left the house today to buy some essential lager and a bottle of wine in case I get desperate. I've had quite a weird day as in it never really got off the ground, now it's getting dark.

What I honestly think is that there are two offers for the club, one very low offer from FPP and another less than Donald's ridiculous claim of £37m ...

... you could buy two Championship clubs for that amount.

Sadly Donald is in the same position as he was when FPP made a reasonably generous offer. All he has to do is say 'no' and that's the end of it.

If he says 'yes' all this shyte could be over in weeks, even days. All this pain would be over except the damage to his ego.

That, is the only thing that's standing in his way ...

... not Covid, not Brexit, not finance.

Nothing but his pride and wish to leave as 'a success'.

The time for the supporters to remind Donald, and his ex-pal Methven, that we want him and everything to do with him to go isn't far away.

People have held off, for fear of rocking the boat ...

... but the boat, unlike Grigg, is on fire, rudderless and going nowhere fast.

A gutless defeat at Doncaster and it's time to go on Amazon, search 'pitchforks'.[/QUOTE

Here is hoping we hear something concrete by the club soon, something similar to Derby's recent statement about being in talks with BZG about a takeover.

So are we thinking the story in the Guardian last week was incorrect and nothing being agreed yet? ... This has suddenly put a downer on the week

So are you going against what the likes of Prehab and Wheatsheaf are saying in that it has all been agreed and just needs to be signed off?

I think some people are mis reading smugs post, he hasn’t said, it’s not agreed he’s just Saying he hopes Donald doesn’t mess it up because last time it was agreed he moved the goal posts

Its not done till its done. Sunderland fans more than any know this after the FPP debacle

However it must be pretty close if its in L'Equipe and The Guardian. They rarely make stuff up

Not sure how much this means to people but Keith Downie from Sky tweeted when the guardian story broke saying he understood it had been accepted too

I picked up on a report that stated a price been offered for the club to Donald at £22m + Donalds 15% share retention and Methvens 5% share retention. That is from this Maguire fella. On gaining promotion to the championship and ultimately the Premiership. Now that is a long shot for Donald and Methven to take as it could take years, I'm not at all sure that a billionaire would want that sort of baggage hanging on in the back ground. I suspect that FPP haven't gone away either

In all honesty mate, I'm just having a bad day.

I'm sick of this whole thing so tried to get a grip on it all by contacting loads of people.

I'm just more confused that ever tbh.

Dreyfus, it seems, wants to buy, Donald wants to sell but it's an endless back and forth.

Sky Sports News reported the agreement, which wasn't denied by the club, but now its all gone quiet again.

Donald and Methven are like Punch & Judy FFS.

That all makes sense mate.

Anyone with real wealth wants the control and kudos that goes with owning a football club.

Would Abramovich entertain two giggling chanchers having their grubby fingers in his pie.

They just need to take their pay off and f**k off.

Just a case of waiting a week or so surely? You are making it sound like a deal isn’t close at all and that price isn’t agreed when people are just waiting for formal announcement?

Well after todays comments coming from the government regarding bailouts, this club will, with its millionaire owners, appear not be in pipe line for any government bail outs..

What I'm saying is that Donald agreed a deal with FPP last time and moved the goalposts.

I really believed he wouldn't do that again but I've heard today he's still desperately trying to convince himself he can gain promotion, leave a legacy and realise his dream.

I hope Sky, the Guardian, etc are correct and he's going ...

... but I'm just like everyone else and want to see him gone.
