Are they? How do you know?

Because I follow what's going on across all forums and even on the Facebook Fans Forum (which is full of people who can barely spell their own name) and Twitter (which is full of lunatics) are more supportive of Rosie than against. Even on here, where there's loads of anti-Rosenior posts, 90% of them are coming from less than a dozen posters who just keep posting the same thing over and over.

It's nowhere near an equal split, the people wanting Rosie out are very much in the minority.

There's obviously a far bigger number that are unhappy with our home performances and that includes Rosie himself, they clearly need to improve.
I’m not sure anyone wants him out, we’d like him to change his approach and attack with more pace. I don’t believe this team should be struggling and playing as we are.
The only thing that differs is who believes he can turn it round and deliver….some of us aren’t sure.

Now the “majority” might call us negative and bedwetters etc…
If we all shared the “majority” view this board wouldn’t be very busy, certain posters would have nothing to do. You wouldn’t be able to call anyone out and flex your “staff member” muscle when you wanted.

he obviously has an affinity to the club which is why I’d like him to succeed rather than see him sacked

I'm in complete agreement with you, I've been coming since the 90's and I'm seriously considering not renewing my season pass for next year because of how boring our football is. I don't live in Hull and the whole day is about 8 hours all in round trip. That's a long day out to be bored senseless for 2 hours in the middle of it, this seasons home form has been absolutely ****e and could've nodded off in a couple of them if it wasn't for the cold weather keeping me up. I know a lot of the people round me feel the same. If he could actually get us doing some attacking then fair enough but when we're losing and the balls still being passed backwards and ends up with Allsopp from an attacking throw in... **** me its tedious.

If you live four hours way, why don't you concentrate on away games, where we've generally been good?

So far, he's averaged 1.425 points a game since becoming our manager, which is just below play-off places form. So I don't think that he has underperformed, generally speaking, considering the dire state the club has been in over the last several years.

Edit: for context, 1.522 points per game is the average for securing a 6th place finish. 2.000 points a game sees you finish top, and to avoid relegation, you normally need 1.000 point a game.

You can't just look at points per game, you need to look at the tools he had to use.

Those numbers include the squad as it was when he took over, so it probably balances out with some of the flair players we've signed more recently.

It's also a much better average than most championship managers ever achieve. If he maintained this level, in this league, for the rest of his career, he'd end up being considered very successful indeed.

Nerdd

I do go to away games and enjoy them more (with the exception of Sheffield Wednesday which was also utterly ****e). Having a season ticket supports the club and I get to see friends and family at the game. Doesn’t change the fact our home form is ****e and boring.

The issue is no matter what players we sign they will end up playing Rosenior's style of football ie playing out from the back & inviting the press
Personally this style bores me to tears & it's not enjoyable to watch
I couldn't care less about City being in The Premier League. Some of the most memorable games I've been to were in Div 2 & Div1 under Peter Taylor when we played fast counter attacking football & put 3/4/5 goals past teams
Thats what fans want to see, we want to be entertained & be up off our seats as City bear down on goal
I've supported City for 50 years but if Rosenior insists on his team playing the current style of football then I won't be going to watch it as its boring & frustrating & I get no enjoyment from it
I do agree we are very boring to watch currently, I’m hoping once we fix the attacking issues that will change

Losing Delap was ****ing huge.
Not a big fan of the style of football but he gets the summer transfer window for me.
Next season the Champ will be way more competitive at the top without the likes of Leeds, Leicester & Southampton with Prem squads

I suffered the Dolan years when the football was dreadful week in week out but that's because we had a team of extremely average players & no one expected any better
The issue we have under Rosenior is a squad of talented players that are serving up boring football when they are capable of much better
<applause> Exactly this !!

Not sure I agree, working off the current bottom 3 coming down I would expect all to go straight back up and occupy the top few spots all season. They all have very strong squads for this level plus the power shoot payments to propel them back up. I expect it will be another tough season near the top of the table.

They are not as strong as the 3 mentioned.

That is a simple but brilliant differentiation you make in those 1st 2 paragraphs. Spot on. Non of us actually want him to fail and get sacked. We want him to succeed. The issue is, as you allude to, whether or not we believe he will (caveat - in reasonable time).
