So what you're saying is...

Fabregas is **** because Barca got rid.
But Di Maria is brilliant, even though Madrid got rid.

Excellent detective skills mate <ok>

I don't think I said that at all. Given it's all there for you to read that's a very odd statement for you to make.

The Barca hierarchy disagree regarding Fabregas. I haven't been following how Suarez has been doing in Spain, I'm sure he's tearing La Liga to shreds.

I didn't say he wasn't good enough for a top PL team. He wouldn't make my City/United/Chelsea midfield as he's a flat track bully which is evidenced in his performances against decent opposition over several years. He was absolutely non existent against United this season (bear in mind re United midfield is being rubbished in this thread) and he vanished against Sunderland at the weekend purely because Cattermole and co didn't allow him any time or space. Good player but even his mentor didn't think he was worth re-signing.

Di Maria was man of the match in the European Cup final against the Spanish league champions. Hardly a flat track bully. Nice try though!

Fabregas was sold because he's a flat track bully and couldn't make the difference in the big games. Di Maria was sold for reasons best known to Real (maybe because he's too ugly and they wanted to sign the latest World Cup pin up boy) but it certainly wasn't because he's a flat track bully who couldn't make the difference in the big games. Someone's already mentioned he was the man of the match in the European Cup final against the Spanish champions. That's quite a big game against strong opposition. To be fair it's not that difficult to understand.

So what you've said is... Fabregas is a flat track bully and Barca heirachy disagree with me that he's quality hence they got rid.

But Di Maria isn't a flat track bully and he is quality, despite Madrid getting rid....

So one team got rid = player is no good & flat track bully
Other team got rid = player is still good & not a flat track bully

Sorted <ok>

Honestly.... This is just pathetic fantasism.

Fabregas under mourinho is bloody brilliant and will lift the prem trophy and prob 1/2 more too.....

Di Maria is a quality winger with bags of pace.... Just cos someone can't put aside a bias v Chelsea.... Therefore nobody else will give dimaria the time of day... 5 year olds would do better

No one has said anything negative about Di Maria as far as I can see...

We just pointed out that Real Madrid got rid of him.

Just seen this <laugh> Weird comment.

Read the thread MITO, no one is saying Di Maria is poor, more the argument that Fabregas must be poor because Barca got rid, but the same logic doesn't apply to Di Maria despite Madrid getting rid. mainly because he plays for United <doh>

You seem to be getting there.

Those other teams had to expand their squads to deal with CL football too didn't they? For sure their net spend statistics weren't padded by selling their best players every season because they had no ambition to move forward <ok>

Rodgers had no CL when he spent 2/3rd of that net spend....

Oh and Rodgers net spend wasn't 'padded' by selling the 3rd highest selling priced player from the PL ever? <laugh> Or the other sales that accounted for more than Moyes got for the best player of his generation......

You've tied yourself in knots with your inane drivel here, what an absolute helmet <laugh>

Just when I thought you were beginning to get a grip on the discussion. I didn't say Fabregas was poor. Find that comment for me, pretty please. He's a flat track bully though.

Anyone noticed that 'flat track bully' as started creeping into the pundit dictionary...? <laugh>

I think Di Maria left because he was unwilling to fight for his place against Ronaldo/Bale rather than Madrid looking to sell.

His best position is on the wings, he can play CAM but it doesn't play to his strengths.

3 point ahead of Moyes by week
7 points behind Moyes and Giggs by fixture
£230m invested since Moyes

Left midfield in a 3 is his best position.
