City and Chelsea have far superior midfields to you.
Arsenal's is pretty good too when they are all fully fit.

And you should have a midfield in the top 5 in the Prem because you spent £60m on Di Maria, £30m on Mata, £16m on Blind, £25m on Herrera, £27m on Fellaini and £18m on Carrick.

For £175m I could form a pretty decent midfield...

Citys? You sure?

They play a 2 man midfield system and it could not cope with us before the red. Yaya and fernadinho or whichever one barely had a touch and had no influence pre red card.

We had fellaini playing that day, no herrera or mata. City were missing silva.

I would say its much closer than you think.

He particularly hates Rooney as he used to play for Everton and Man Utd his two biggest obsessive hates...Not that anyone can tell though<cheers>

Causes him pain knowing rooneys record reads as played 16, scored 11, assisted 4. 15 in 16. I think people refer to that as world class.

Especially as hes been playing much deeper.

If I was to make a mixture of them I'd go with

Fernandinho Toure
Navas Silva Di Maria

Nastasic is a CB

Matic Fabregas
Hazard Oscar Schurlle

Fernandinho Toure
Navas Silva Nasri

Carrick Blind
Di Maria Fellaini Mata
I'd take both of those over yours <ok>

£37m? <laugh> Fair enough...
Could make a decent midfield from £180+ mil then.

Rooney would be where fellaini is and do you actually rate fernando/inho. Never been impressed by either. Yaya is also way off form this season. Fellaini has been better than him... Ish.

Be very sloppy that midfield. Up against a bayern or barcelona is could get ugly.

I wouldn't have yaya, fern, navas. Would have herrera, rooney and matic though.

Well Matic plays for Chelsea so in my Untied & City combined team he is ineligible <whistle>

If we're doing all 3 then I'd go with

Fabregas Matic
Silva Toure Di Maria

Navas is too frustrating. Very quick and occasionally whips in a cracking cross. Most of the time though his decision making and final ball is poor. He also can't shoot, at all!

Fabregas' whereabouts are still currently unknown. Last season walking onto the pitch at old trafford.

That would be assuming you weren't picking a side to play against a decent team as Fabregas is a flat track bully. Would always pick Yaya. When he's in the mood and not sulking about a birthday cake he's almost unplayable.

Fabregas would walk into any midfield in the Prem <doh>

Most assists this season... give me that flat track bully every day of the week. I'll have Fabregas the flat track bully feeding Suarez the other flat track bully <ok>

As a united fan, fabregas has only once performed against us. This was as a 16 year old on his debut in a community shield game.

Of course hes decent and i would have had him at united but hes always lacking in those big games and sometime in his career its going to cost hos team (has at arsenal already).

You know performing against United isn't the be all and end all of becoming a good footballer? Maybe it's the fact he's playing in a side managed by Wenger who doesn't know how to beat teams managed by Ferguson or Mourinho?

Pick any top side and its the same story.
