Rooney has played as an attacking midfielder so he hasnt. Then theres di maria too. Could also put herrera there.

Herrera has been more influential this season than Toure? <doh>

Maybe more influential in the United medical centre... guy's been injured as much as Sturridge this year FFS

Well yaya has played 12 and scored 3. He has 1 assist.

Herrera has played 6 and hes scored 2, created 2.

Hes also not spent most of his games sulking like a child. Hes been one of our best players in all but 1 game (he was clearly injured). His passing and ability to retrieve the ball has been great and hes not afraid to get stuck in.

So yeh. I think hes got a fair claim. Yaya has been ****e.

Fabregas would walk into any midfield in the Prem <doh>

Most assists this season... give me that flat track bully every day of the week. I'll have Fabregas the flat track bully feeding Suarez the other flat track bully <ok>

The Barca hierarchy disagree regarding Fabregas. I haven't been following how Suarez has been doing in Spain, I'm sure he's tearing La Liga to shreds.

So because he wouldn't get in Barca's team (despite him actually playing a lot an only being kept out because they played him in different positions and had 2 WC players ahead of him and him approaching nearly 100 caps for Spain when they were the best team in the world for 6 years... he's not good enough for a top Premiership team <doh>

Remember when Herrera took the game by the scruff of the neck and powered his team to victory to keep their title challenge alive?

No you don't. No one does.

<ok>

Seeing as Di Maria was sold by Real Madrid, does that mean he's not good enough for a top prem team either??

Actually we know he isn't, that's why he's playing for Man Utd <laugh>

I find the fact that Barcelona basically played fabregas as a false 9 and favored the clearly diminished Xavi almost as funny as the ignorance shown here

All mourinhos done is out fabregas in his correct position and made him play... Wenger went out of his way to ruin the lad pushing him further and further on

Fabregas and matic is an awesome midfield duo

Oh and the rumoured move of Herrera to bayern was as funny as the Herrera influence comments here... Blind has been far better for utd and Felliani has been far more influential to utds run.

Fact is certain people are unpopular so the focus will be in the other guy all the time

I didn't say he wasn't good enough for a top PL team. He wouldn't make my City/United/Chelsea midfield as he's a flat track bully which is evidenced in his performances against decent opposition over several years. He was absolutely non existent against United this season (bear in mind re United midfield is being rubbished in this thread) and he vanished against Sunderland at the weekend purely because Cattermole and co didn't allow him any time or space. Good player but even his mentor didn't think he was worth re-signing.

So Rodgers is the only manager who is judged by gross spend, everyone else is net

Got it <ok>

#neutral

No, you've patently not 'got it' as Rodgers has spent £105m net, or to put another way, 10 times what Moyes spent in 8 years less and 11 times what Martinez did but minus the pot <ok>

Di Maria was man of the match in the European Cup final against the Spanish league champions. Hardly a flat track bully. Nice try though!

The problem with this post is you used the term "false 9". That's Hodgers football guru bullshit which very few fans actually subscribe to.

So an average game against United and a poor one against Sunderland where all the Chelea team struggled makes him poor.. <doh>
Van Persie must be a worse player than Lambert this year...

Oh and Rooney and Di Maria were pants against Chelsea so they must be terrible and overrated as well right because someone's talent is measured over 1 game rather than 5 years <ok>

Those other teams had to expand their squads to deal with CL football too didn't they? For sure their net spend statistics weren't padded by selling their best players every season because they had no ambition to move forward <ok>

The irony in your 2 posts <laugh>

Fabregas is poor because Barca got rid.. but Di Maria is awesome, despite Madrid getting rid <whistle>

If you can pinpoint a big game in the past ten years that Fabregas bossed it then I'd be happy to watch it. Van Persie has been crap this season. Difficult to assess whether he's been worse than Lambert as the latter has for some reason been Ballotelli's understudy. Rooney and Di Maria did ok against Chelsea. Neither set the world alight but Di Maria won the free kick and got the assist for the equaliser. Fabregas had about 12 touches in the first half. I think the stat was 5 of them found one of his team mates. That's a bit crap.

If they had ambition to move forward what the **** happened to liverpool then clever graph boy?
Keep digging your hole lol I bet you cant wait for your next defeat you can lose your connection and have a few days off talking utter **** then<ok>

Fabregas was sold because he's a flat track bully and couldn't make the difference in the big games. Di Maria was sold for reasons best known to Real (maybe because he's too ugly and they wanted to sign the latest World Cup pin up boy) but it certainly wasn't because he's a flat track bully who couldn't make the difference in the big games. Someone's already mentioned he was the man of the match in the European Cup final against the Spanish champions. That's quite a big game against strong opposition. To be fair it's not that difficult to understand.

So what you're saying is...

Fabregas is **** because Barca got rid.
But Di Maria is brilliant, even though Madrid got rid.

Excellent detective skills mate <ok>
