Loved all the actors in Porridge don't think there are any left now, classic series. RIP Grouty.
The bloke that played McLaren is still alive. And of course David Jason.

Yep sorry. I don't know how many times David Jason was in it. I remember the the one with the map. and they ended up digging up Elland road.
The episode where he leaves is amazing "Oh I won't be going after him, he's long gone. I should know, it were me that killed him."

Amazing to think that he had a long and varied career but everyone immediately associates him with Grouty yet he only played the part in 3 episodes and the film.
I remember him playing the Old Man of a family of crooks in a telly series.

Bit of an odd one this, we have had those who have gone before, some who have gone but came back. And now the strangest, because i hav'nt gone yet. The obserant amomg you will havv noticed a lot less posts by me. I'm in the hospital facing a huge operation and hoping it goes well but as we know there risks to any op. Thought long and hard about this, but it has opened a door for people to get on here with my user name
