Brian was our coach at the local Kings of Football (Little Weighton FC) for a few seasons. Although dealing with a bunch of 'never would be's' he was unfailingly patient and supportive and saw us move up the Sunday League. R.I.P.
Some great lines she came out with, I like the one this morning mentioned " When asked what her roll in any marriage was, I am a house keeper, when I split from my husband I always keep the house" RIP
Rabbi Lionel Blue. Always seemed to talk a lot of sense to me. No comments about religion necessary. He wouldn't have had any time for that kind of stuff and nonsense anyway. RIP.
12 dead in Berlin. Hundreds more dead in Aleppo since December, adding to the hundreds of thousands since 2011.
Don Meredith, an old friend, I heard the terrible news last night that he had died suddenly after a major stroke, shortly after selling his business and retiring. We never know what the future holds. Condolences to his friends and family. RIP Don
