Many players contracts finished yesterday.....now that it is July will we start to see some movement.

Will there now be deals pre-arranged revealed today.

We do have two loan signings unconfirmed at present....the return of Darko Gyabi from Leeds on a 12 momnth loan....and earlier last month Muhamed Tijani from SK Slavia Prague.on a seasons loan......these might be announced know that we're in July.

So a quick review of what is happening at Argyle.

1.....Nathanael Ogbeta......in full time.
2.....Muhamed Tijani.....years loan.
3.....Darko Gyabi.....years loan.
4.....Mickel Miller.....out to Huddersfield.
5.....Michael Cooper.....refused new contract (still a year on old one).
6.....Dan Scarr.....interest from Birmingham.
7.....Morgan Whittaker.....at the moment silence.

Interest now on who Rooney might be able to entice to the club full time/on loan.

ADD.....Tyreik Wright to Bradford 2yr deal.

We're in a bit of a dilemma at present......do we wait to see what happens with Cooper and Whittaker....giving us the funds to replace them....or do we just bring in lesser players that we can afford with our present budget.....horse before the cart....or cart before the horse ?

If Cooper and Whitaker are sold soon we have the time.....but the worse scenario is them going right at the end of the window leaving us no time to replace them.

INCOMING.

Ibrahim Cissoko 21yr old left winger on loan for the season from Toulouse.

Glasgow Rangers have put in a bid for Morgan Whittaker exceeding £7 million....which the club have turned down.

We are showing interest in C Palace's winger Jesurun Raki-Sakyi for a loan,

I remember Raki-Sakyi when we played Charlton in our promotion year.....near the beginning of that season when they did us over 5-1.

He was on the wing that I was sitting near.....and he played a blinder against Macaulay Gillesphey.....made him look like a cart horse.....he was unstoppable....he roasted anyone who came near him.

Palace eventually took him off Charlton....but he didn't get much playing time with them partly due to injuries.

My son a Charlton STH said he played hot and cold.....when he was on form he was good...when he wasn't he was rubbish.

Not sure we're looking for that kind of player......I assume Argyle can remember what he did to them a couple of seasons back.

Victor Palsson came out of the blue....other players being talked about but no mention of this 33yr old Icelandic defensive international.

Adds a bit of grit to the defence which isn't a bad idea....with talk of Dan Scarr probably moving on this might be why he has been brouight in as well.

Not quite sure how the data driven approach squares with recruiting players Wayne Rooney knows. He certainly brings experience: was recuited by Liverpool as a youngster and has 44 full caps for Iceland plus games in the top leagues in a handful of European countries.

I watched Palsson’s interview on ArgyleTV.

My goodness, he speaks good English! No football cliches and the only accent is a slight Liverpool burr!

He was asked what his ambitions were in football. It’s to get to a World Cup or Euros finals with Iceland. He’s been close to qualifying before but Iceland have always fallen at the last hurdle. Anybody know when we last had a player able to claim an ambition of that magnitude?
