Rumour that Mickel Miller might be a target for Stoke....and of course Steven Schumacher.....the friend who wants to keep taking.

It seems that Bristol R have failed in their attempt at luring away Joe Edwards....who has decided to staying at Argyle.

Birmingham are in talks over signing Dan Scarr.

Although Dan Scarr has served Argyle well in the last couple of season.....there is concern over his lack of speed at Championship level.

    Cheating so~and-sos

Why Premier League’s 'swap weekend' could be another PSR loophole https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c5111jg2r3yo

    There’s a saying in business:

    Turnover is Vanity
    Profit is Fantasy but
    Cash Flow is Reality

They’re trying to operate FFP via profit & loss when ultimately the real issue is maintaining the liquidity of clubs.

In the real world, investors would’r allow a situation where a business needed constant injections of cash merely to continue its day-to-day operations. In football, that pressure is absent because often there are no external investors.

It’s control over cash flow that FFP needs to mimic, not some ever more complex definition of “profit “.

In this case, the scam is made more effective because clubs have started amortising transfer fees over longer periods than before. There ought to be a standardised method defining the amortisation period and what value can be placed on the residual value of the player at the end of contract.

I bet there are some heroic estimates being deployed in this lot of transactions. I wouldn’t be surprised if with young players like these, the estimate is that they’ll be worth more than the purchase price at the end of contract so the selling club can take all the income but the buyer none of the cost!

Maybe we could all buy Buckingham Palace if only we had a mortgage of 100,000 years.......the debt ends up as someone elses problem.....and they're not even born yet.....in fact their grandparents aren't probably even born yet.

Long gone the days that we enjoyed.....taking out an 80% mortgage...(20% down payment) ...for £3,340 total and paying it off in 17 years of a 25 year mortgage......whats it worth now ?.....maybe £750,000......all achieved by doing 6 months of solid night work.....living like an hermit on less than £4 a week and saving the rest.....and buying a property 3 months before we got married.

Wikipedia say that Mohamed Tanjani 26yrs old...6ft 2inches tall is a centre back......Born in the Ivory Coast to a Beninese father and a Ivorian mother.

A Slavia Prague player on loan to Yverdon Sports and has represented Benin......Maybe things might get clearer than mud today.

Supposed to be coming to PAFC on a years loan.

Perhaps related to the supposed departure of Dan Scarr - who’s done himself and the club proud during his stay BTW.

Some reports say he is a defender..others say he is an attacker.....not sure what to believe....both areas need personnel.....defending especially if Scarr might be moving on..

Interesting time developing....Michael Cooper turns down a new contract.....

Not quite sure how interest in him will develop....a big chunk of two seasons out injured....will clubs be interested in a keeper who has two lots of knee problems....although not related.....disappointed that Cooper whose wages where paid whilst out injured hasn't shown a loyalty to the club....maybe he's testing the market by saying no at the moment....and hoping for a response.

As I said before, there doesn't seem to be an appetite for English keepers in the higher echelons. Maybe that's some sort of coincidence on the supply side.

    There's also a height thing:

    Martinez (Aston Villa) 6ft 5
    Ederson (Man City) 6ft 2
    Onana (Man Utd) 6ft 3
    Pope (Newcastle) 6ft 3
    Sa (Wolves) 6ft 4

Whatever we get for him it won't be enough to replace him. No keeper is unbeatable of course but we were saying here some weeks ago that with anyone else in goal, you always feel a frisson of fear when the ball comes their way. You don't get that with Michael Cooper. Whether it's a cross or a dodgy back pass or whatever, you always have confidence he'll deal with it.

It seems that Darko Gyabi of Leeds could be returning on a seasons loan.

I can firmly declare myself to be ambivalent on that one.
