Would you have approved planning for the container cafe?

Having decent New Year celebrations and granting extended licences for pubs and clubs and not putting obstacles in the way is down to councils though.

Partly..not wholly, and each would be viewed on its merits.

To be fair, you say the same thing so many times, and I've answered it before, so it hardly seemed worth doing it again. I thought a few words were easier for you to ignore than a longer answer. <ok>

Maybe you should just code your stock posts for brevity

Ypu tbi k Hull closes early = ref a
Leeds is ace = ref 2
Ignore the **** ups elsewhere = ref 3

Etc etc...

Irony aplenty.

Incidentally, I don't like Leeds. Just wish some in charge in Hull showed a bit more of their positive attitude. And some residents had less of a parochial, small time attitude more suitable for a medium size town.
Why anyone would wish to post shortcomings of councils in Bognor Regis, Skegness, Redcar and elsewhere on a Hull forum is something I will leave for you to explain.

Yet some places end up with less hassle in doing these things than others. This goes back to the earlyn1970s. Probably because of the Watch Committee. And not helped by the decision after the war to give first dibs on anything to just a couple of breweries.
Does Hull's New Year start earlier than elswhere?

Makes sense, 15 years ago Revolution was a good place to go. Nobody would say that now.

The one in Lincoln's good, in my opinion. The food's great, the staff are friendly and its just a pleasant environment to enjoy yourself in. Can't speak for any other branches in other cities as I haven't been. Were you referring to the one just in Leeds?

Why are you responding to him? He's a man-child who can never admit he's wrong when he is.

Rather tgan half arsed attempts at insults, feel free to point out where I'm wrong. <ok>

I didn't so it was good, I was simply pointing out that your target for the blame isn't that accurate.

Seems none Hull rate payers love to tell us how to spend our money, but get upset when ERYC **** ups are raised.

You mentioning irony, when claiming it's small minded people in Hull that hold us back, on a thread where you'e once again whining with your usual, not strictly accurate, miserable examples is amusing.

Your first post on this thread was accusing OLM of having a snide dig at our council; he did no such thing. He simply asked via poll whether or not it should have been refused or not.

And I'm not sure what you classify as half-arsed attempts at insults. I genuinely think you're a bratty, smug man-child who could have an argument in an empty room.

I remember the days when it was trolls from other clubs that what bob up saying, "your wheels will fall off" "your club's ****" "your town's ****" "your manager's rubbish" "you're all idiots etc etc"

This modern version seems to reduce the need for it.

The council isn't the same as the city is it?

Maybe if the cafe was designed to look like a pile of rubble
Or to follow the design feature of that property developer in Hull... A burnt out shell then maybe it would "being keeping" .

modern and forward thinking idea... approved by the council....... not a fkn chance, they`re a bunch of inbred hillbilly **** kickers that can`t see beyond their own noses.

Nope.

A fair amount of the things whinged about are not the council either, despite what some claim or imply.

The city is the people, the council just represent them. I don't see too many people stepping up to act and progress the place.

Don't talk like an utter prat.
