There are so few people in favour of change that you may struggle to get an answer on this board. Pro change people may not wish to engage with you, they are more likely to wait and see what happens. They have a no lose position. Are any of the pro changers going to give up on Hull City Football Club if it doesn't happen?

    "Mighty Tigers" ?
    Whatever the owner decides ?
The winner of the not 606 poll on the subject?
    Stick with " The Tigers " ?

How important is the nickname to the average fan?

So it looks like we're all in agreement, and there is nothing the club will gain from changing the name.

    Thought not. <ok>

The last protest is in the past. There are a number of reasons for the attendance. I'm sure the campaign will look at the reasons why the march didn't attract the numbers expected and at ways of including those people who don't want to march or miss the first 5 minutes of the match.

That water has flowed under the bridge.[/QUOTE]

Understanding how you got it wrong previously can only be good for the future.

we may gain younger, fresher fans.
IF there's a chance of losing the dinosaurs too, that isn't exactly a bad thing either.

Maybe you're right, maybe you're not.

    Will happen regardless.

The club has nothing to lose by giving this a try, except for a small number of fans who are prepared to give up the mighty tiger faith. Fans like this are not needed. The potential gains, outweigh the potential loss, which as it stands is negligible.

This thread was started for people to show what these gains are. People have been unable to suggest any.

There are hardly any pro changers out there. Hardly anybody wants this, it would seem wrong for any of the rest of us to act as a devils advocate and make the clubs case for them. Good luck with finding pro changers to engage with you in discussion.

Really? I started this thread to give those jumping into the protest threads an opportunity to make a clear case to show the benefits of the name change.

Yet again, I repeat myself.... Stop confusing those jumping into the protest threads as pro-name. There is a difference between supportive, and not objecting. Think about those politicians who abstain rather than vote against.

to be honest, I really dont care anymore.
unless you have the £80m or whatever it costs to buy AA out, you either support him or go support L**ds and shuttup about it.

I'm not confusing anything. I'm simply trying to hear what the positives of a name change could be. If you can't think of any, this thread's not for you. <ok>

So, you still can't think of a positive? Fair enough, thank you for answering the question. No more need to reply.
