Just the way it is, but for somebody to call Rangers an anti Catholic club these days is just ****ing lies. There's plenty of bigots on both sides of the Old Firm - it's disgusting and neolithic

So Beale might be going to Rangers and your first thought is to bring something up that hasn't happened at the club over 30 years? You are a very strange man/woman.I agree with you Steels.
Wouldn't bother me if we didn't sign another Chinese player if we won the leagueTha line above highlighted says it all. Proof that the anti-catholic sectarianism is alive and well. today and is not from 30+ years ago.

It happens on a daily basis on both sides of the old firm divide. Yesterday, today and tomorrow. So Beale might be going to Rangers and your first thought is to bring something up that hasn't happened at the club over 30 years? You are a very strange man/woman.
Haha watch out, you will be called a bigotWouldn't bother me if we didn't sign another Chinese player if we won the league
Indeed, but this debate isn't about the fans, it is about the club itself, the other poster said Rangers are a horrible sectarian club, which quite simply isn't true. The club may have moved on, but there's a large section of their fanbase who revel in their anti-Catholic stance, just as there are large sections of the Celtic fanbase who still glorify the IRA and the murdering scum within.
I live in the West of Scotland and see it all the time - it's pathetic from both sides, squabbling over history from over 300 years ago. When I moved here I vowed to keep out of it all, and although my son has pals on both sides he's a QPR fan first and foremost, then a Morton fan after that.
Yeah right, the fans are still sectarian but the club itself is whiter than while. Who do you think you are kidding? The whole thing is endemic in both Glasgow clubs. Beale would be mad to propel himself into it.Indeed, but this debate isn't about the fans, it is about the club itself, the other poster said Rangers are a horrible sectarian club, which quite simply isn't true.
It's a fair point though don't you think ? Any manager with real aspirations would be using Rangers as a stepping stone to move on to a Premier League job or another one abroad at a bigger club. The days of Rangers being a big European club passed a long long time ago !At least you don't sound like a bitter little boy.
Just about every team in world football is a stepping stone to the EPL, just the way it is.It's a fair point though don't you think ? Ok, tell me what the club has done wrong regarding sectarianism in the last 30 years? You spout some amount of pish and I don't even know why you are mentioning something from decades ago whilst everybody else on here wants to speak about whether Beale will even leave or not.Yeah right, the fans are still sectarian but the club itself is whiter than while. But getting promoted from the English Championship is his guaranteed route to the Premier League ! Not saying we'll get promoted, but the possibility is that he'd be throwing away a much quicker way to achieve that goal.Just about every team in world football is a stepping stone to the EPL, just the way it is.

I am discussing whether Beale will leave or not. I am making the point that he would be mad to go to Rangers as sectarianism is deeply rooted in their culture. Neither of the Glasgow clubs go out of their way to be particularly sectarian these days as they know they can't be openly sectarian. Playing the likes of Motherwell or whoever and beating them 5-0 every second week will do nothing for Beale's long-term career. I am specifically talking about Rangers as they are the club being linked with our Manager. If he was being sought by Celtic, I would say similarJust about every team in world football is a stepping stone to the EPL, just the way it is.

There's quite a few on here mate!So Beale might be going to Rangers and your first thought is to bring something up that hasn't happened at the club over 30 years? You are a very strange man/woman.
I think he really enjoyed his time at Rangers and felt a real affiliation with everything about it. Maybe he feels he has got unfinished business with us?But getting promoted from the English Championship is his guaranteed route to the Premier League !
