I think Kone has potential but just like every other striker has proved in the last 10-years, they are very ineffective when the only player in the opposition half.A bit harsh to say he's been a big disappointment Stroller...he's not had much to work with. If we're expecting him to win the ball (often with a ratio of 2/3:1 against him), and then hold the ball up or take on 2/3 players alone, I think we're expecting a bit too much from him.
I thought, when I saw the starting line up, that Kone would have a lot more support going forward, but in reality, Dembele, Vale and Smyth were dragged further and further back, leaving Kone completely isolated up front.
The longer the game went on (after 20 minutes) the further back the midfield dropped, the less Kone did.
