See Grayson's been sacked by Sunderland.........as if it's all the managers fault that they are a basket case club from the top down. He should have stayed at Preston......
Long time since we've had 300+ posts on a match day thread, the team has certainly rekindled the feelgood factor, long may it continue...
Sorry to hear about your wife nines but glad to hear the outcome was not as you both first feared, good news. Another great win guys just keep the faith
Exactly... because we know more than anyone that blaming the manager is a pointless exercise... now it really is time to start to believe that a consistent and long term plan is the way forward - screw changing the manager every year... and screw changing the playing staff every transfer window. These two results didn't make us promotion contenders - but neither did the last 6 games without a win make us relegation fodder. Whatever the result, we are QPR... a little club with a damn big heart - with players that really play for the shirt and a management team that really understand who we are. I've never wanted more than that.
Another massive performance by Luongo and his midfield. I swear we had 4 Ian Holloway 's on the pitch. Gutsy stuff from the entire squad including Sylla tonight.
Not as fluent as Saturday but fight & spirit was there again, Utd for all their possession didn’t create too much apart from 2 bad misses in first half, onwards & upwards.
Special mention from me to Baptitse tonight, I’ve been one of his biggest critics since he arrived but fair play, he was an absolute rock out there this evening
Not pretty tonight, but a great battling performance from 1 to 11. Sheffield dominated possession but never really landed a punch thanks to a superb defensive display which left Smithies not having to make a serious save. A very long way to go, but if we could somehow scrape into the play-offs, I'd back us to win them.
Everyone put in a real shift tonight but for me Baptiste and Luongo were outstanding. Felt a bit for Wheeler as he didn’t get much chance to push up as Cousins seemed to play a more orthodox right back role. When Darnell came on he got a bit more freedom.
What a game. Heroes all of them. I don't expect us to win most games but when they play with that spirit you can't ask any more. Great atmosphere but surely this team deserves more than 12000 home fans watching it. I just fear the gems will be taken from us in January because Holloway is building something very good.
