First time ive seen them, pretty impressive.Just nipped out because we had a Northern Lights alert, I think we missed them at their peak but could still see them. First time ever for me. Top photo is my wife's from our front door, bottom is someone who lives a few streets away. Pretty cool.

Weird how it shows up better on a photo than to the naked eye.Really feint unless using a camera but this was out my window, quite a few down Roker tonight with the cameras out!

Congratulations you came 2nd in the Aurora picture competition.Saw them in Ouston. Was just putting the dog out for a wee before bed and ended up sitting in the garden for ages

There’s a lad in the running club who always posts about the warnings and he’s had me all over South Shields this winter. And they always show at 4.00am or so and never seen them, so over the moon to just get to see them in the back garden.Thank you
I've waited years to see them! Even been to Iceland on holiday and it was cloudy every single night, and I didn't see them when I went to Norway either.
Can't believe I saw them sitting in my own back garden!
