I thought the Tories, their rich supporters and media friends, considered themselves to be “the elite”, and most of them have supported Brexit.
“The elite” in this context, used interchangeably with “woke”, means anyone not in a constant state of apoplexy over foreigners and gay marriage.
Makes sense, given what a good job he's done with the transport sector.

I think that we have not heard the last of Boris. I was nnot aware of this but the fall out from the Covid enquiry will ultimately prove to be really damaging. I am just wondering whether this latest issue is something which will lead to further prosecutions. If I am honest, I would not be in the least bot surprise if Boris nds up facing a criminal trial. At the least, I think he will end up being barred from holding any forieng office in the UK.
I caught the firdt half of a documentary on Zadawhi this evening and it will be fascinating if he beomes Prime Miister. I had no idea that he was mentored by effrey Archer. His business affairs have already been subject to a criminal investigation . There was an implication that some of the papers already have things on him beyond getting caught in the expenses scandal a few years back. I think he is a loose cannon but am hoping the press keep their poweder dry with all th candidates until someone has been elected.
