Don't you just love it.........when Newcastle United go shopping in the New Year Sales for a New Manager!!! <laugh>

Let's throw some names into the pot!
It doesn't matter who they are, just names, so we can have a whinge with each other!
I don't want him, or him, or him, or him etc!

For those like moi, who are pleased he's gone to some extent. We are close to getting what we want aren't we?

But, Who the **** are we gonna get?
Who the **** will come here?

Worst of all is that sick to the stomach fear, that for some reason I suddenly trust Mike Ashley to do the best for the club? <laugh>

Yes, I love it.....

Can anybody tell me why he would leave Newcastle to go to Palace!??? I know there are the obvious reasons, like because of his links to Palace, to get away from the grief he gets at Newcastle. Despite this I am still quite shocked that he is going! I cant help feeling there is more to it. Any suggestions or rumours????

Likely reasons are quite simple:

Only ever one bad result from the next crisis. 4 years on probably a bit bored of it all.
Receives constant stick. Probably gets it socially too.
Family happier back down south.
Palace links.
Probably been informed he is about to have the rug pulled again mid season with Sissoko going.
Ashley preparing a sale and he is jumping while the chance is there.

rumours I've heard is that he's pissed off with lack of transfer funds
his last few tv/paper interviews have been noted for the little digs at lack of strikers and the need to get more in
Pardews move will go down well with Ashley now, as he will not have to release any money to a short term or temporary manager
not that he was going to release any money for Pardew in the first place, mind you

what other reason would he go now
he took all the **** for Ashley last season, when Cabaye was sold and no replacement was found

its a weird one! if i was a town fan i think i'd be pleased he's gone but it does raise a question along the lines of 'what the **** is gonna happen now?' Uncertain times for sure! Just as well you's strung them wins together! You's have a comfort zone in case things go tits up cos if you's had about 6 points less there would be panic surely??

Pards must think all his. Christmases have come at once.he can walk away at long last to a tough challenge yes, but to a club and fans that want him. He won't be here when that fat git sells Sissoko and Perez. Cisse , Tiote and his replacement, Abeid are all at the ACN and we have no spine to the team and no strikers. Who's blood are we going to bray for then? Pards has played a blinder IMHO and will be laughing all the way back to. London, they say be careful what you wish for and l for one fear that's going to be true.

Good point! At some point in the near future or further down the line he would probably have been chased out of Newcastle tarred and feathered! Now he can leave with his head somewhat held high whilst sticking two fingers up at the club and supporters! I bet the enormous weight lifted off his shoulders the minute he passed Scotch Corner! The pressure at Palace will be far less, despite their dodgy league position!

He'd guatantee 6 points off the Mackems.
:)

If fortunes transfer from club to club. Wouldn't be to hopefull. Our defeats to him have come from shooting ourselves in the foot against 'Lowly Hull' as suppose to Bruce tactical genius. Bruce tactical genius! <laugh> Seriously though, you shouldn't be in for Bruce, even if he is cheap. You can do much better

There is no real frenzy from the fans for a reason. We have become used to all this. Nothing surprises us, we have seen it all under Ashley. Uncertainty just doesn't bother us the way it would some clubs fans as we live with it on a daily basis. End of the day he has left us in great shape. He has us punching above our weight in the league, we have a cracking youth set up starting to produce some promising players, the club is around the most healthy financially operating a profit. Yes we will sell the top talent again and its not really going anywhere, but outside the top 6 or 7, which club can claim to truely be? Look at Sunderland. They drift along every season in the lower half battling relegation. Everything is there but it just doesn't happen. Poyet looks a decent manager but even he is struggling to solve the puzzle. People talk about Everton and Martinez - bit of europa football and they are sturggling and his teams still can't defend. Their football is not so pretty as expected. West Ham are having a cracking season under Allardyce - players will be sold, they'll have the europa and the wheels will come off. The only club who looks capable of true progression looks to be Southampton.

Without either massive investment or a great batch of youngsters appearing at the same time, the league is very predictable. The unpredictability lies in the odd results and the ability to swing from europa contenders to battling relegation.

How can it be Colo? He doesn't have his badges. It will be either Carver, Beardo or Stone or combination to end of the season, or some no mark like Curbishley <laugh> Prepare for the worst. I blame the supporters, unrealistic barbaric heathens with a lack of football knowledge...
I don't believe that you need badges unless one is playing in Europe.

And, let's face it, that's hardly likely to happen given that it's Newcastle's stated policy to concentrate on mid-table finishing over any cups.

"A UEFA Pro Licence is required by anyone who wishes to manage a football club in the top level of the nation's league system on a permanent basis (i.e. more than 12 weeks – the amount of time an unqualified caretaker manager is allowed to take control). This applies to both the head coach or team manager, and such a licence is also required to manage in the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League.[2]

Each current manager of a top-flight team in Europe was set a deadline of 2010 to acquire the licence, or else face losing his post."

I think you do. There was a big hoo-hah about Southgate ages ago.

I wonder if Pardew will take a swipe at the NUFC fans when he eventually explains his reasons for jumping ship?

Looks like Pulis has stepped ahead of Sherwood for the West Brom position.

I doubt. He will probably rightly reference the abuse he has taken as taking its toll, but he has taken it on the chin most of the time. When we got humped 4-0 earlier in the season and vitriol increased he simply said "fair enough you can't lose 4-0 and not expect it". I expect him to be honest as always - both a strength and failing of his.

The ex pros all giving their 'jobs for the boys' opinion. We all know if this was a non British manager they wouldn't give a **** and encourage him leaving. These ****s seem to get constant rock hard boners for mediocre British pub teamers.
