This City's on Fire is the best one to use it even has a built in chant that would get the stadium going before kick off!
Another one i have suggested before is Suffragette City with its local connection and words that are easily changed to Super Hull City
"Don't lean on me Allam 'cos I can't afford a ticket ... down to super Hull City."

It was the Andy Williams version at the 2008 playoff final. I remember it going down well!
Most of the group Sade were from Hull I think as well, just not the singer. Not sure which of their songs would be useful. In the 80s there were a few of these laid back or jazzy kind of kinds in Hull, Everything But The Girl, The Housemartins etc.

Can't remember his name but he was in a band that regularly played the Welly and other venues late 70 ' s . Was always a big City fan and I think he used to go away back then too. Stuart Mathewman played Sax in Sade and had been in local band The acrylix with Roland Gift .
Can we ask a local band to re-record Tubthuning (I get knocked down) but slightly change the words to:-

Paul Denman is the bass player, he still regularly goes to City with his cousin.
The local band Stu played sax in was The Odds, before moving to London to join Pride, who because Sade.
The drummer Cookie was also from Hull.
Ah yes, the Odds. Remember them supporting the Damned at some college on Cott rd. He looked ill at ease in a punk milieu with his curly hair and mainstream glasses.
