ok theo - from the list of available managers on that website produce a better list of men we might actually stand a chance of getting.

I don't think he's having a go at the list you drew up, just saying that there are **** all decent ones out there :/

Out of work managers, largely tend to be out of work having failed previously.

We need to be pro-active and go get someone in a job, rather than be re-active and wait for the same old tired names to apply.

5 realistic out of work managers:

Dave Jones, Steve McLaren, Sean O'Driscoll, Billy Davies, Alan Curbishley.

Sammy McIllroy is a bottom division manager. Ray Wilkins isn't even a manager. Nigel Worthington and Colin Calderwood have just been bombed out of jobs much smaller than ours.

it was more of a challenge, see what others would produce from that list - which i know contains some rubbish candidates like mr souness and john beck

I think there's plenty of good managers out of work managers at the moment, unfortunately, not so many good managers out of work that would be interested in taking over at City.

I'd probably take Mclaren as he would be the best manager for our young players, even though he will no doubt be as unpopular as Pearson and every other manager we have, including Brown, and I remember Brown getting slagged off by sections of our support before we had our dream promotion so it will always be the same

Billy Davies i can't see there being great joy at his appointment, in fact he is the devil incarnate in football as far as i am concerned and if the Allams even have him on their long list of candidates before drawing up their short list then i would be surprised, shocked and disillusioned with those who are running our club.

I'm not a big fan of Billy Davies, he seems to be a total prick but you can't argue with his record in the Championship.

i think dave jones, we was linked with him before pearson, not sure if it was paper talk but he is a free agent now. Alternativley my 1st choice would be Brian Little (should never have been sacked) with warren joyce and theo whitmore as his assistants ;)

Sod off, what's Brian done recently. Get Theo in as manager!

has anyone else been sad enough to look at the list of available managers on the lma website. there is probably enough for a shortlist for interviews - if they want to come to the club and city. Looking at the candidates i would go for one of the following 5 -
Alan Curblishley, Colin Calderwood, Sammy McIlroy, Ray Wilkins or Nigel Worthington.

Personally i would like Mr Worthington, but whoever is chosen there will be some critics as soon as he is appointed

If you listen to the football league show 9:12 in, he's apparently already here!

He's already gone!

It ain't necessarily so! Many good managers get sacked by idiot chairmen. Always has been, always will be. Fact.
