Because we spend on petrol about 40% of what we did previously. We don't pay the congestion charge and the road tax is £10 a year.
Also it's fun driving on electric - we went down a road in silence and a couple of guys were sauntering in the middle of the road and just as we were right behind them one of them looked round and nearly had a heart attack.
Apparently with me being a child, I'd struggle to name 1 dream car as it would depend what I wanted it for. My million pound garage however....
My first car was an 83 chevette saloon, in traditional parchment beige lol, was blinding till it was written off when a bloke crashed into the back, loved it great fun to drive , even though when I collected it, it took metro days to find the filler cap lol. Looking through eBay a few weeks ago found a similar model which sold for 2500, was mint

My mate had a Maestro in beige. Don't know how the colour was described in the brochure but I doubt it was what we called it.

Mine was metallic khaki, with a brown vinyl roof and a beige interior and it was the worlds slowest automatic(they had the cheek to call it a GT).
What a piece of **** that car was, it seized within a week, though I somehow managed to sell it for what I paid for it.

I used to have one of those Billy a Xr2i , had it lowered with a spax kit, back spoiler etc. It was a lot of fun

There's only 16 of those in the world and if one comes up for sale, it's likely to set you back a cool £2m.
