The last car I owned was one of these, red though, bought from Parish's. BLC's vain attempt to modernize its aging fleet of cars before finally going under. Never forgave Parish's for the so called service they did to my car as part of the hire purchase agreement. I had been told by a mate beforehand to put cotton threads across things that are suppose to be looked at during the service. If they have done what they say they have, and charge you for, then the cotton thread should be broken. When I checked after being presented with the bill the cotton thread was still intact on most of the items they were suppose to have checked. When I pointed this out to the manager of the garage service department he called me all sorts for resorting to such tricks and said he would take the car back and do a thorough check, but wouldn't let me watch the check being done. Never dealt with Parish's again, and never owned a car again, although I have hired many for the odd occasion.
