Wow, have the women's 800 come on since London. In the heats, not a single women cracked 2 minutes in London, here in Rio it's 16 or 17. Amazing. And as good as Caster Sementa is, she just might have some serious competition.
I keep hearing that every GB cyclist has won a medal at these games, is this correct ? What medal did Geraint Thomas win ?
Incredible scenes in the 50k walk here. Diniz the French man over 1.30 seconds clear, pulls up abruptly with stomach pains...Dunfee of Canada chases him down pats him on the back and off they go both in front together...race on. Irelands Rob Heffernan is in the pack about 20 seconds back chasing a medal. All to play for. Great sporting gesture by Dunfee. Gruelling In conditions.
Nothing as bad as cramping up and with that heat too, if he finishes he should get a medal of some sort
He must be dehydrating at a very high rate. They say it is his stomach on coverage here Cyc so I'm not 100% certain then after what you heard.
Used to watch religiously Cyc but haven't watched in several years now. Neighbours preceded the News and Home and Away afterwards I switched on recently and barely recognised anyone apart from the stalwarts that have been part of it forever it seems.
I am getting a Cool Runnings sort of vibe from this whole Diniz saga...man is still battling towards the finish.
