Will probably be a Taverner* legging it over ther car park shouting "ooooo the lights are on lads tak a picture, Jude is signing on"To be fair there's the Colliery Tavern, a large hotel, aquatic centre and sports facilities there ...
... plus a bloke randomly standing outside gawping at the stadium![]()

*I like the Tavern. Quality boozer![]()
The Dun Cow is still doing great business. Helped by the renovated Fire Station next door bringing lots of midweek activity to the city centre. All of the stuff at the Sheepfolds makes a nice little route from the north side of the water then over new footbridge once completed. There's still some decent, proper, boozers in Sunderland ...
... they're national treasures and becoming scarce around the country.

When we were back last year we spent a lot of time at the Fire Station. Really enjoyed it.The Dun Cow is still doing great business. Disappointing. Sounds like new Vaux are dislodging original Vaux :-( Can we not have both? You must log in or register to see media
I think Maxim was set up by a couple of the senior people who were at Vaux. The new Vaux are different people but bought the name I think. Not 100% sureI'm confused. So Maxim was Vaux but didn't bother buying the name Vaux, so someone else has?
