I'm confused. So Maxim was Vaux but didn't bother buying the name Vaux, so someone else has?

I believe the Nicholson family kept the rights to the Vaux name which is why Maxim acquired some of the beers but not the name. Years after he decided to sell the name...hence the new Vaux.

I could be wrong like but there are a few fellow former Vaux employees on here who will know for certain :emoticon-0100-smile

Great read that. Never heard the story about Luke O'Nien before, what a good man he is!

Good to hear that so many old staff members got in touch with Joyce when she got the all clear too. The club definitely has that family/community feel that gets under the skin of some of our players and I'm certain that the character of people like Joyce, the late Louise Wanless and many other non footballing staff has contributed greatly to that.
