Many Atheists are angry and I can fully understand why. I would also like to sympathise with the feeling that you feel your beliefs are under attack and you -'the self' feel invaded.
If we can remove anger (bitterness/frustration) and bigotry from our discussion, there is much to be gained by all. I feel that what religionists need to recognise is that there are a growing number of people who are dissatisfied by religious dogmas. All this, despite the inumerable scholars who pour over ancient scripts in their attempts to clarify (their) truth and provide society with answers that will make things better for all.
My beliefs are under attack? News to me, as no-one knows what the **** they are!
