It's not that bad, we still get a lot of ones on ones in the championship, we just never finish them!

We're not using a youtube search as the basis to see whether a footballer is good enough or not, are we?

Have we not learnt from Ghilas.

    http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/nick-proschwitz/leistungsdaten/spieler_31535.html

Out of 17 from 33 he put away 8 right foot, 2 left foot, 2 head, 3 penalties, 1 long-range, 1 tap-in. He keeps going for it with 10 of his goals in the last 30mins, 6 of them in the last 15 mins. 4 noted assists as well. If he can transfer this to this league, he will do very well for us and play well with Fryatt and others.

Yes he did; according to the Sunderland Echo.

Agreed; for a big fella his ball control reminded me of Quinn - he kept his cool to find the channel in and that is what matters.
If we looked for a positive, then we could bring the guy into a league that will raise his game and net us a promotion striker and a PL player of worth.:emoticon-0103-cool:

To be fair the german bundesliga 2 looks stronger then the championship... I've watched a few games and when you look at the style of play in the videos, the defending doesn't look too good but the movement and passing seems a ton better than what we produce.

Wow - he must be a hell of a player to score 3 penalties, 1 long-range goal and 1 tap-in without using either foot or his head! :cheesy:

Our Championship is very defensive. Even the crap teams have a pretty organised defence and you rarely get a cheap goal in this division. Look at how many teams come to the KC and sit back, and how many actually open up and give us a game? The Bundesliga 2 might be better overall (I actually have no idea) but I bet the defences are better here.

it is Youtube but as Esab Allam has already said you don't need to splash the cash on scouts if you've got some decent clips..

however he looks like a strong, big number 9 who can score goals with his feet and head, quite composed and with him being German he won't be work shy.

younger than Heskey by a way too.. and will be cheaper..

Not really a fair guide though. If you look at our squad for the last 2 years the tactical move would be to defend deep against us as in the absence of an aerial threat up front it took out all our goal threats (assuming your defensive midfielder was capable of sitting on Koren for the game). It's exactly what I would have set a team up to do when playing us and losing the ball anyway.

I'd suggest that a lot of teams that came to the KC and sat back waiting for us to lose the ball would have gone to places like West Ham and Watford last season and been more attacking/defended higher up the field so that Carew, Cole, and Iwelumo weren't given plenty of service from crosses.

I hope this is true, he sounds very handy, also his name sounds polish (i know he's German) so might get extra bums on seats with regards our eastern European residents :emoticon-0103-cool:

If we get a German player and seen as we've got Matty Mainwaring, we can relive the famous scene from Dad's Army.

'Don't tell him your name Pike'...

With this player I wonder ... why him?
It's kind of out of the blue. I don't really see the angle... it's not like his contract is gone, it's not like he is semi-famous, it's (probably) not like he's been requesting to sign for the mighty tigers...

Why this player? does SB rate the german leagues?
