‘2 lads on RTG’. Come on man <laugh>

If Chucky is the poster I'm thinking of he's part of Grant L's circle of friends and has been passing snippets from him about SAFC, then Boro, and back to SAFC for years.

Unfortunately.

Hope you're right mind.

Just me who’s back to that point of totally not really caring again, so reminiscent of when Grayson came in.

completely deflated.

Even at that mate, the players aren’t even likely to know the ins and outs at this stage.

Owners don’t chat to their staff about the top of the business.

The players would likely no an hour before an official announcement, or not before if it was an evening decision.

Like I said mate, I hope you're right. But there used to be a poster over there called Ceefax who hit a rich vein of form with player signing predictions for a few good years across a few managers.

Two days after we sold Whitehead to Stoke he told us he was best mates with him and that's where the info came from, the info just stopped, so they do get info sometimes.

But that's all academic, in the meantime I just need to get my head around this and start trying to find positives so that if we do sign him I can get to the deludedly optimism I cherish that means come EVERY 2.59pm I'm excited as f*ck thinking:
"we're going to get something here I know it!"

Assuming he is even interested. He might not be for all we know.
Barnsley fans asked him on the night he went on the piss with them, he said he would definitely take the job with us if asked...

This was quoted by a decent Barnsley poster on RTG

"Phil Parkinson is set to be confirmed as the new manager of Sunderland on Thursday after holding a series of successful meetings with the club over the last few days."

Could explain a few things ....
