Wonder if Donald would be more swayed to Pearson with Phillips ?

All speculation i know but them or Stendel seem most obvious choices but then as someone said on this thread "this is Sunderland".

I'll be happy to get Stendel, and not averse to Pearson if he brings SKP.
Given all the rumour, hearsay etc re Pearson, do you really believe anyone but him plays a pivotal role in team affairs and management?
I doubt pearson gives a monkeys about skp's history with the club. He might pay it lip service to get the role but I suspect skp would be reduced to little else but organising training cones and equipment and maybe a little one on one with the strikers. A glorified flunky.
I doubt delegation and democracy are part of pearson's lexicon

I dont know, your probably right but i think he would get us out of this shìtty league at the least.

I still fancy Stendel mind.

Yep..other than stendel it is the football equivalent of a communist food shop window in the 70's...stale, bland .

Didn't they work together at Leicester? So Phillips will know how Pearson works and must be happy with a role working for him.

No doubt, but we know that the world abounds with 'yes men'.
Let's not forget both men have been out of work for over 6 months.
When they did both last work they were failures.
Neither fill me with any thing like the confidence I have in stendel.
But that is just my opinion

I'm not pushing these two as the right choice, but I believe that Pearson left Leicester with the team that went on to win the title and other than Stoke, Phillips has worked with two successful teams, as a coach. You could say nearly every manager is a failure as they nearly all get sacked eventually.

He lasted less than 6 mths at derby and just over a year at a low level Belgian after leaving Leicester.
Philipps worked with McLaren, Clement and rowett after Pearson left derby. All those 3 failed miserably.
I'm trying to find an upside for skp bht I just dont see one as a manager or even a coach.
As they say it is all about opinions.
If he does join let's hope eh.
I'd have him over ainsworth like

Well I'm glad I don't have to make this decision.
I can see positives in all the main candidates. And negatives.
Whoever comes in it's a gamble that he gets the players firing quickly.
I might just lean towards Pearson and SKP (with SKP stepping up when Pearson has a meltdown).
But I'll support whoever.

Frankly, I'm not particularly excited by any of them but I'm trying to stay fairly open minded.

As with investment/takeover nowt happening today about the new manager..

I will check forums tomorrow... until then get on with my life

Keane & skp for me the dream team

Keane manager skp coach

That would have us packed out
I'd have Pearson and SKP also though obviously we'd not as packed out. Basically we need a manager who will kick players into shape, not bore them to death like Ross and Moyes!

Two are being interviewed today but no news coming out.

They have a shortlist and have being seeing people all week.

They need to make a quick decision and try to recover some momentum.

In the meantime there's no harm in people speculating or giving opinions on the candidates.
