The aim of the Club right now is to stabilise and get the finances sorted out ,so yes it would be great if we went back up ( I'm no fan of the PL ) but the aim should be the long term survival of the Club. Regarding Coopers appointment and lack of playing experience, I didn't realise that was a prerequisite in becoming a successful manager , how many professional games did Hodgson, Gerard Houllier, Carlos Parreira , Arrigo Sacchi and our old boss Rodgers play , nil not one, and on the flip side great players don't always make good managersThe club said they have had 60 applicants which i doubt but we do know they have had a few and the best we can do is employ a schoolboy coach with zero first team management experience and his only playing experience is in the league of wales...Now call me susceptible but is this a recipe for success or a recipe for disaster?...I know which is the obvious and the less risk. I wish the lad well but what a pathetic appointment for a club who wants to get back into the premiership....We are going to need a huge slice of luck to stay in the championship imv...
WhooshI hope he does well but can't see it somehow.....No experience is a right negative...
and there was me thinking the yanks can do no wrong.I hope he does well but can't see it somehow.....No experience is a right negative...
Dai, just look at the owners we have - everything has already gone bad.I keep saying i hope he does ok, But your missing the point which if you go on other media sites are pointing out that it is a hell of a risk to take going from coaching kids to being boss of a second tier division team......It is a massive step up and something no other sensible team would ever consider.....If everything goes bad you will all be saying the same.....very very risky with no grounds to ever consider making such an appointment other than getting the cheapest option at the determination of trying to improve the clubs prospects......Experience is what we need and not schoolboy standards......
